I guess I should start by saying, I used to be an agent who chased after really bad people... and I was good at it. I caught wind of this case following up an old abandoned Umbrella facility, figured I'd check it out... but this ended up being one big disaster that left me close to dying in that facility.
I thought that an animal may have tripped the motion sensors, or maybe even a leftover test subject still kicking about. When I got there, I could sense something was off. Walking around the facility gave me the creeps, and I'm not easily scared. The further I went, the worse the feeling in the pit of my stomach grew. It wasn't long before unspeakable creatures attacked me, maybe they were once human... but whatever, whoever did this to them made sure the human part was long gone. Encountering a couple B.O.W.s along the way made me curious if Umbrella was trying once again to create viruses to potentially cause chaos once more... so I continued on wanting to know why this was occurring.
Finally I reached the control room where I thought all the answers were waiting for me... but instead I found a man. Dressed in all black clothing that stuck fairly tightly to his skin, the long sleeves of his leather suit rolled up to his elbows. With a holster for a revolver around his shoulder, and silver sunglasses covering his eyes... I did what any agent would do. 'Put your hands where I can see them!' I had demanded so foolishly as he slicked back his blonde hair that had streaks of brown in them. As he popped his sharp jaw he looked at me saying 'Foolish little girl, you shouldn't have come.'
After a rough fight, the man pulled out a detonator to the facility. With sixty seconds on the clock for both of us I ran because my life depended on it. Barely making it out... it was after that one encounter that the next eight years of my life would be devoted to finding the mysterious man who was later identified as Albert Wesker of the Umbrella Corporation. Knowing his identity I pulled his file, researched everything I could... I hadn't been bested in years, I wanted to get even.
After I found out he was the former S.T.A.R.S. Captain of the Racoon City police force I tracked down the survivors I could who were in the S.T.A.R.S. department. The only person I was able to contact successfully was a woman named Jill Valentine who said she knew Wesker personally. We later met up at a local bar near my agency to discuss any, and all information on Albert Wesker.
Years went by like this. I'd find a lead, and hunt him down... sometimes Jill would even come along allowing a friendship you wouldn't believe to form, but somehow he always outsmarted us. Was just one step ahead to be able to escape my clutches everytime, and damn I've been so close too many times... that eventually, since most of my operations where without board approval, I was demoted to a desk worker. That didn't stop me, especially when I came across the files for the Plicat Metus Virus better known as the Fear to Chaos Virus or PF Virus. Wesker had developed this in 2001, and was trying to evolve the serum for an unknown purpose.
Though Jill, and I found out later it was to enhance a normal being's abilities. In the year 2003 Wesker had began evolving the PF Virus somehow stumbling upon the perfect concoction that was known as the C2 Virus or Chaos Virus. It was fully developed in the year 2004, and used by Wesker himself. The serum, well virus, enhanced all his abilities. He became stronger, faster, smarter... everything he wanted, and that made him a significantly harder target. Though to everyone's surprise I still managed to chase the bastard to the ends of the earth. That's when the... incident happened.
In 2006 the files we had on Wesker, and the Viruses disappeared without a trace... and I was fired without reason. Jill had been working with her partner Chris Redfield as a B.S.A.A. agent, and had a solid lead on Wesker. Jill asked me to tag along, I told her I had some matters to attend to... I regretted the phrase the moment I got a call from Chris.
It had been only a day or two since I spoke with Jill, wishing her luck with the terrorist Wesker. In those two days Chris, and Jill had stormed a man's mansion who was linked directly to the Umbrella Corporation... Well, they found Wesker... but the only person who left that mansion was Chris. I was told that Jill pushed Wesker out of the mansion window to save Chris, that she sacrificed herself to take Wesker down... and save her friend. Sounds like her.
Her death was devastating to me, we were close and barely anyone knew we were in contact with each other. Neither of us wanted to get the other in trouble if we were caught doing a rogue operation, which I was caught so our plan worked I suppose... Only problem was I didn't believe he was dead. Wesker had survived worse, and with that fucking Chaos Virus healing his every wound I couldn't afford to believe in such fantasies. Bad guys like him don't die falling out a window, and from what I read the files on the incident state their bodies were never found. So now this little game that's spanned for so long... was personal.
A year later, 2007, I was asked to come back to the agency since I uncovered an Umbrella spy working in the agency. I refused not giving a damn about the rules anymore. All I wanted was to kill the son of a bitch who killed Jill, and I didn't care what I had to sacrifice to do so. Since I was now working alone, and didn't have any family left I figured there wasn't much to lose.
In the year 2008 I started noticing a spike in deadly Viruses around the African regions. The reports seemed off... said the victims were driven mad, and would cannibalize anyone who they got their hands on. Common traits of the PF Virus. So naturally that's where my search began because the only person who had any connection, and ability to make the serum was Wesker... I was right.
I had to track down a man named Irving who I found had dealings with Wesker, and some mystery chick with a strange mask as well as a cloak on... Along the way I met up with Chris Redfield, Jill's former partner, and Sheva Alomar who was helping Chris. He alarmed me of the possibility Jill was still alive, and being held prisoner... We had to figure out the hard way if Chris was right or wrong. Either way it led us to Wesker, and that's all I wanted.
So this is where my story will begin as me, Chris, and Sheva are making our way past ancient ruins. Trying to find out where Wesker fled off to, and that bitch Excella he's working with. We get past these massive doors that close behind us due to a cloaked woman with a weird mask only to find we're trapped in a temple. Across from us is Excella, the mystery woman, and the bastard himself in the flesh... Albert fucking Wesker. And that's where I'll begin my tale, the few hours before everything went to shit. Before everything that made sense evaporated like it never existed... Hell who knows? Maybe it didn't.
