When I finally made it to the main floor I bolted to my room only to slam the door shut, and throw myself into the chair beside the stereo. My middle and pointer fingers massaging my temple as I closed my eyes, swiftly after turning the stereo on. Debussy classics playing moments later as my heart swells uncomfortably, and my thoughts tear me apart. What will become of him? There's only two ways this ends. Ransom will be... I'm not talking about Ransom. He's too valuable. What will become of him? It's up to me then, isn't it Nickolas? It always was Precious.

"You seem stressed Anastasia," I felt my heart skip a beat as I opened my eyes. Locking on his sunset gaze as his brows furrowed together with concern, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing I can't handle," I replied softly with a slight sigh at the end. "So, did you miss me?" His lips quirked up at the ends just a little causing me to mirror his expression, heart swelling in a different way though I felt more relaxed than anything else.

"Why bother asking..." he extended his hand to me. "The answer is obvious," I gave him my hand only so he could pull me up from the chair. Swiftly pulling me flush against his body with one fluent motion, and beginning to lazily sway from side to side along with the music. "What about you, did you miss me?" Albert inquired with a teasing smirk.

"I could tell you," I leaned closer to him, "But then I'd have to kill you."

"I can't tell if you were trying to be ironic or if you simply just wanted to threaten me," he chuckled causing me to laugh a little as our noses brushed together. "We never did get to finish our previous discussion..."

"Is that what we're calling it?" He rolled his eyes with a short laugh.

"I don't think that's important," Albert paused. "I do have a question however," his right hand gently tucked my hair behind my ear, lingering on my cheek for a moment. "Did you know Excella was there? When we kissed?"

"If I did, or didn't... What would it prove?" I smirked playfully though his expression contrasted to mine, growing serious despite my response.

"It proves what your intent was."

"And what if my intent was nothing more then to show her you don't want her?"

"I'd say there was more to it," he paused, fingers grabbing my chin softly. "You were going to leave, then she walked in... and you kissed me instead. Not even a simple or quick kiss, you wanted her to see."

"Which proves my point," I replied, raising a brow in confusion.

"I think you wanted to show her that she couldn't have me."

"And why would I do such a thing?" I dropped my eyes to his lips for a moment.

"Well, I can tell you're not the sharing type," he tilted my chin up ever so slightly so I'd look back up at him. "Neither am I."

"I could've told you that," I finally realized we had stopped dancing.

"I wonder what gave it away," we shared a short laugh, both of us smiling. His breath tiptoed across my lips, tempting me like I had done to him previously. Making me want to taste them like I had never done so in the past... who am I kidding every kiss feels like the first, when we kiss.

"Well?" He hummed in response, "Aren't you going to kiss me?"

"That depends," he paused leaning closer so his lips were only millimeters away. "Are we still getting dinner?"

"A little cocky aren't you?"

"Hopeful," he chuckled, "And that's not how I meant it."

"Right," I rolled my eyes with a scoff that was cut off by his lips locking onto mine. Albert forced me against the bookcase to our left abruptly causing me to gasp due to the unexpected gesture. He pulled away just long enough for me to catch a glimpse of his hungry eyes before locking his lips back on mine. My heart raced inside my chest as his hand pulled my body against his as though we couldn't be apart by an inch. I ran my fingers through his hair, he kissed me harder in response as I felt my lungs begin to run out of air. I slid my left hand down to the collar of his button down shirt, fingers trailing down his chest slowly before resting against his side. Albert pulled away slightly, breathlessly. He leaned his forehead against mine for a moment though, I must admit all I wanted to do was kiss him again. Certainly can't compare to the precious kiss a certain someone gave you...
