"Spare me the lecture won't you?" I rolled my eyes as I leaned against the wall, arms crossed. Albert threw me a dirty look of frustration, throwing his arms up only to let them fall to his sides.

"Why do I even try..."

"Jesus," I simpered. "You don't realize I just did you a huge favor, do you?"

"What are you talking about?" He turned to face me finally deciding to sit down in the chair beside him. I glanced around his room with a small smirk before answering him.

"Ransom is the first subject to reverse from the T2-Serum. In his eyes he is now a prisoner who was used as a lab rat... which is true," I laughed softly despite the numbness of my tone. "Ransom doesn't trust you, he doesn't trust your staff."

"Hardly surprising," he gestured for me to go on.

"What I did gained his trust, a great deal of it." I admitted, "Without his trust in me, you're not gonna get very far."

"I suppose you make a fair case, but defying me..."

"Like I've never done that before," I threw him a look. "Aside from gaining trust I felt bad for him if you must know. His entire being was turned inside out, and turned into something inhuman. I don't regret my actions, besides you can't do anything about it."

"You underestimate me too often these days Anastasia," I shrugged my shoulders.

"Wonder why?" I retorted sarcastically before glancing down at my watch, "Are we still on for lunch?"

"Same time as always," he sighed.

"Don't be late," I joked before leaving him alone with his suppressed frustration. With a roll of my eyes I closed the door behind me, and continued onto the elevator.

By the time I made it to the lab it was getting close to eight, with a sigh I entered the lab. My eyes met a confusing scene... Martin, Talia, and Alan bustling around running tests among other things. What caught my attention was Ransom in the corner of the room restrained to the chair he sits in like a prisoner waiting to be tortured. His eyes locked on mine as a sense of anger formed inside me, "What the hell is this Martin?" Martin's eyes snapped to mine with unease, I gestured to Ransom.

"It is just for precautions, I didn't want to do it either."

"He's a human being, not a lab rat. Hell he may have signed up, but that doesn't make it right," I growled before saving Ransom from his suffering state. He rubbed at his wrists after I freed him, "If I ever find him like that again you're not going to enjoy the conversation we'll have."

"We can't defy Wesker's orders," I glared at Alan. "He's in charge of this entire experiment, and he's our boss." I took slow steps towards Alan, eyes locked on him like predator to prey causing him to grow nervous.

"If I ever, find Ransom like that again..." Alan gulped, "I personally hold you accountable."

"But..."

"You're afraid of Wesker for a good reason, but believe me when I tell you..." I smirked evilly, "He's not the one you need to be afraid of. Got it, Nelson?"

"Yes, Anastasia."

"Good," I gave him an abrupt pat on the shoulder causing him to shuder. I gestured for Ransom to follow as I left the lab behind, happy to get the hell out of that room. Feels like I spend more time there then I do anywhere else.

"Thanks for that," he said as I summoned the elevator.

"No problem," I chuckled softly as I glanced over at him. Eyes locking onto his big brown eyes that seem content to stare back at mine. "They're good doctors, they mean well... They just got mixed into a bad situation, and from what I've learned about this organization there's only one way out."
