Dressed and ready to go out, mommy loaded the suit cases in the trunk and helped buckle me up while she sat down.
"To the airport Lincoln."
Airport?
"Airport?"
She turned to me and smiled.
"Yup you'll see where we're gonna go."
I nodded quietly.
Mommy sighed as she ran her hand through my hair and turned my head for me to look at her.
"Mommy's sorry baby. I really am. I know I haven't given you all my attention and that's something I promised I'd give you always."
She dropped her hand onto my lap and held my left hand tightly as she caressed my knuckles with her thumb.
"I love you babygirl."
I smiled as I moved closer to mommy and rested my head on her shoulder.
"I love you too mommy."
She put her cheek on my head and smiled softly.
"Now when we get to the airport, you have to behave. There will be a lot of people and paparazzi will be there and will take pictures of us, but you must hold my hand and stay next to me at all times, understand?"
I nodded softly as my eyes began to feel heavy.
"Good girl."
I hummed.
"I'm good girl mommy. Mommy's good girl."
She chuckled as I fell asleep.
"Always my good girl."
