I was ready to throw a million tantrums.
My toys were lost.
My stuffies were lost.
My sippys were lost.
AND
Mommy promised we'd have fun.. but this...
ISNT FUN!
We drove to the hotel and got into our room.
Mommy immediately called room service and asked them to bring up chicken nuggets and fries and cake and ice cream and a strawberry smoothie.
"I know you're upset honey, but once we eat, we can go into the pool."
Pool?
"Yes baby the pool. Okay? So let's eat and get dressed and we'll go swimming. Ms Sandy packed your clothes with mommy's clothes so we for sure have our swimming suits. Okay? Sounds good babe?"
I nodded softly. I've always wanted to learn how to swim, maybe mommy can teach me.
The food came during a commercial break. We were watching The Amazing World of Gumball.
Mommy ate her chicken steak while I ate my nuggets, the usual.
We ate the dessert and we drank our drinks. It was a nice lunch to a horrible morning.
"Alright babe. Let's go change."
She grabbed my hand and led me to the bedroom and helped me change into my swimming suit.
She also changed into hers quickly while I hopped to the living space and turned off the tv.
"Alright baby, lets go."
She reached for my hand and I quickly grabbed it. Interlacing our fingers and waltzing down the hall ready for our first swimming day in... where are we?
"Mommy?"
"Yes baby?"
"Where are we?"
Mommy looked at me shocked and remembered she forgot to tell me.
"Well we're in Hawaii babe."
I nodded with a smile.
