Cameron
"Brenna." I said, walking up to her at her locker again.
"Fuck, you just don't quit." she said, sighing and closing her locker.
"I don't." I said. "Because I still want to talk to you and I still want you to talk to me."
"And I'll tell you this again." she said. "There isn't anything for us to talk about, Cameron."
"You wouldn't know that because you won't listen to what I have to say." I said.
"Because I'm tired of listening to you." she said. "It'll probably be lies."
"Will you grow up please?" I asked, a little frustrated. She scoffed.
"Excuse me?" she asked, laughing. "You want me to grow up? It wasn't very grown of you to cheat on me for a year and then think I was "bugging out"."
"I'm trying, ok?" I said. "I owned up to it already and I'm sorry for it."
"I loved you, Cameron." she said. "I gave you everything. All of me and you just threw me away."
"It wasn't with malicious intent." I said. "I didn't mean for it to happen like that, Brenna. I really didn't. I was afraid to hurt you."
"Apparently not." she said. "A year, Cameron. A fucking year. You laid down with me, fucked me, said you loved me, for a year, doing the same shit with her."
"I know!" I said, raising my voice a little bit, but bringing it back down. "And Brenna I'm so sorry that I did that to you. I did love you. I did, but somethings just change and I was an idiot for the way I went about it, but you still should hear from me and not from someone else."
"I heard what I needed to hear already." she said, trying to walk away from me, but I grabbed her by her arm.
"What did he tell you?" I asked.
"Let me-," she began to say, but I cut her off.
"What did he tell you?" I asked her again.
"Why does it matter?" she asked. "It's true."
"What did he fucking tell you?!" I asked, slamming my fist against the locker, causing a few heads to turn.
"Exactly what you did." she said. "How you were texting her, fucking on her, all of that."
"Did he tell you why?" I asked.
"No." she said, snatching her arm away. "I don't want to know or care to know."
"You're lying." I said.
"Oh." she said. "Just like you were right?"
"Just let me talk to you. Please." I said, sighing. "Senior year is almost over and I don't want to graduate with bad blood."
"You caused this bad blood and now you can deal with it." she said. I let her walk away that time. I could see her lying. She wanted some type of closure, bad, but still wanted to act tough in my face to show me that she doesn't need me.
