Chapter 73: Talk to Me Attempt #1

It has been a couple months since Brenna and I spoke to each other. After that whole thing in the hallway, all we do is give each other steady gazes every now and then. We're all legal now, which is almost always a good thing. Next huge milestone is 21, but it's not like we don't all drink anyway.

"Brenna." I called out to her for the first time, walking up to her at her locker. I had waited until China walked away, for obvious reasons.

"What?" she questioned, looking me up and down.

"Well, um, hi." I said. "How have you been?"

"I'm fine." she said, quickly. "Thanks for asking. All done?" Well, she's still very hurt after these last few months. That's totally understandable.

"Not exactly." I said. "I want to talk to you."

"Really?" she questioned, raising her eyebrow. "About what? It's been months. I'm done with you and I'm done with it."

"I still want to talk to you." I said. "You didn't hear anything from me."

"You wanna tell me yourself that you were fucking on China while I was in love with you?" she asked. "What's the point? I already know."

"Brenna." I said. "Please. Just let me talk to you. One on one."

"Cameron." she said. "What the fuck is there to tell me? I know about it all already. You fucking played me."

"No I didn't." I said firmly, slamming my fist against the locker, causing her to jump.

"What the fuck could you possibly be mad about?" she asked. "You cheated on me."

"But you didn't hear everything from ME." I said. "You need to talk to ME. Not Booboo."

"I don't need to do anything with you anymore." she said. "Don't fucking bother, Cameron, ever. I'm fucking over you and your shit. Fuck you." And with those words said, she walked away. I sighed, running my hands through my hair.

"Fuck..." I mumbled, leaning against the lockers.

"You good bro?" Ty asked as he walked passed me. "What's going on?"

"I'm chill bro." I said. "I'm about to head to class."

"You sure?" he asked. "If you need me I'm here for you."

"Yeah I'm sure." I said. "I was just thinking about some stuff. I'm good though."

"Alright man." he said, giving me a bro hug that I gladly returned. "Let me know if you need anything though."

"I appreciate you, Ty." I said, before walking off. "I really do." I knew it was going to be hard to get her to talk to me, but I didn't think it would be like that, especially after all those months. I couldn't blame her though, for what I did. I all the way fucked up whatever type of relationship we had.

"Cameron." Lauryn said as I sat next to her our first period class. "I ain't hitting on your ugly ass, but you look good today."

"How I'm gonna be ugly and looking good at the same time?" I asked. "But thank you though. I'm bring back the long hair for a little bit."
