"I know I'm wrong, T." I said. "I know that already. China and I are both very wrong, yes. I've owned up to that already."

"Mhm." he responded as we continued to walk the streets of LA.

"That still did not give him the right to open his mouth and tell Brenna that I was fucking on China while we were together." I said.

"Were you really ever gonna tell her about it though?" he asked me.

"Yes." I said, honestly. "I really was. I just fucking broke up with the girl and I was trying to save her feelings. It already killed her that I left her, but for me to also say "Yeah and I was fucking on your suppose to sister too.", I felt like that was too much all at once."

"Sometimes it just has to be like that bro." he said. "Sugar coating stuff doesn't always work. To me, y'all are always gonna be wrong, but I'm not mad at y'all for it and like we've told y'all countless times, it should of been done another way. From the moment the two of y'all kissed and realized what the fuck was going on, you should of capped yall's previous relationships at that, but I understood why you didn't."

"Yes, Booboo was out of pocket for telling Brenna before you could even get a chance to." he added. "But just let that shit go bro. Y'all fucked up. Accept it and if they want to be petty, which they kinda have a reason to be, then so be it. It's gonna sting the both of them for a while. Just learn to ignore it."

"I'm not just gonna stand by and let her hit me out of anger, though." I said. "Maybe I shouldn't have fought him, but he was asking for it after pulling that, but yes, I'm owning my mistake."

"And as long as you're owning up to it." he began. "Don't beat yourself up over it."

"I haven't been really." I said. "I've been trying to let it pass before I talk to Brenna again, but shit happens. Shit like this, happened."

"I know." he responded as we pulled into our favorite Chinese spot. Him and I both knew that I needed cool down before I went back into the house. Ordering and getting our food, we sat at a table in the very back.

"I'm always gonna be straight up with you, bro." Taj said to me. "Just like you taught me how to be when we were smaller."

"I didn't want it to go like this, bro." I said. "Yeah, I didn't get down with Booboo like that because of the distance, but he was my friend at one point. That just wasn't cool though."

"Trust me, I know." he said, taking a few bites of his food. "It wasn't, but enough of that right now, let's talk about something else. Let's get your mind off of it."

"I guess." I said, also taking a few bites out of my food.

"You remember that night a couple months ago, when Ty threw up back here, high off his ass?" he asked me.

"Yeah." I said, laughing, recalling the memory. "Not gonna lie, I almost threw up too. I tried hard to keep it down."

"With all that throw up, I probably would of threw up too." he said.

"Then, Tom was over here, knocked out, face almost in his food." I said, laughing harder. "He kills me all the time."

"For real." Taj said. "I love that dude though. He's gonna be our brother forever."

"Hell yeah." I said, taking a sip of my drink. Taj and I always had our heart to hearts every so often, just as a reminder to the both of us to keep our heads in the game, but this one was really needed. I really should of just left Brenna that same night I kissed China, but I was already too deep into our relationship to even think about that. I didn't want to hurt her right then and there, but I was stupid about it and now she's hurting even more.

"You good?" Taj asked me, noticing I was silent for a bit.

"Yeah I'm fine." I said. "Just thinking about some stuff."

"Talk to me, bro." he said.

"I regret it." I say. "I regret just not leaving after it happened."

"I bet you do." he said. "But there's nothing really you can do about it."

"I need to talk to her." I said. "Like just me and her, no one else."

"If you think that's the smart thing to do, then go for it." he said, finishing up his food. "You know I'm right behind you bro, even when it don't make sense, I'm gonna be right behind you."

"Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do." I said. "It's what I have to do and whatever happens after that happens. I'm late, but I spoke up, you know?"

"For sure." he said back. "You all done? I want a donut."

"Yeah." I said, closing my box, finishing my drink, and walking over to the garbage to throw it away. "What type of donut you getting?"

"I want a chocolate glazed donut, to be honest with ya." he said as we walked out the door.

"I was thinking the same thing." I said. "I could use about 3 of those."

"I'm just gonna buy like 2 half dozens for the crew." he said. "Don't even feel like cleaning up tonight when this shit is over."

"House is still pretty decent though." I said. "Not no crazy shit like you see on TV, so it might be okay."

"Hopefully Lauryn held it down." he said. "She'll fight people if she got to."

"As she should." I said, the both of us making our way into the donut shop.

"Hey what's going on fellas?" the guy behind the counter asked us. "What can I get for you?"

"What's good. What's good." Taj said. "Let me get 2 half dozen boxes. Let me get 5 of those chocolate glazed. 1 Boston creme. Then let me get 2 glazed, 2 chocolate iced, and then 2 vanilla iced with spronkles."

"Spronkles?" I questioned, laughing.

"Yes nigga." he said. "Spronkles." Paying for them, we decided to take a shorter route back to the house by cutting across a few alleys.

"I'm always gonna love you, bro." Taj said as we walked up the steps. "No matter what happens."

"I know." I said. "I'm always gonna love you too."

"Think you can enjoy the rest of this party?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better." I said as we walked through the door back into the loud music.

That's why he's the fucking homie.
