Truth is, I did want to attend that party. How else would I adapt to his lifestyle anyway? But he made it sound really dangerous.

V: “I’m in, I guess.”

A: “Then pack your bags cause we're leaving tonight for Toronto.”

V: “WHAT?”

A: “This party is back in my home town. I can’t miss it, it’s kinda important. We'll be back soon, I promise.

V: “I can’t leave.”

A: “You’re gonna find all the drugs you want there.”

V: “I don’t think I can leave.”

A: “Alright, then. I'll be back in a few days.”

He got up and I watched him leave. Why did he have to leave all of the sudden? What made that party special anyway?

I sighed and went back outside. I had completely forgotten I was at work. I had also forgotten that Briana would start with her questions and I didn’t have an excuse ready.

B: “Uummm, why was The Weeknd looking for you?”

V: “I told him I work here and he said he would stop by cause he wanted to buy something for a girl he likes. I was showing him some things we got in the back.”

I had to lie to her. No one had to know I am seeing The Weeknd. Abel asked me to keep it a secret too, the world can’t know what he’s doing. And Briana would sure tell everyone we know.

B: “He is seeing someone?”

V: “I guess.”

B: “Do you know who?”

V: “No idea. Why would he tell me anyway? He doesn’t even know me.”

Ha, the irony.

After I finished with work, I got home trying to think about Abel's offer. James wouldn’t let me.

J: “I wanna meet that friend of yours.”

V: “Why?”

J: “It’s just weird how she’s been in town and you still haven’t introduced me to her.”

V: “She’s been busy, she came here for work.”

J: “If you say so.”

V: “You know, she asked me if I wanna go back to Florida with her for a few days, I’m thinking of going.”

J: “Is this your new habit now?”

V: “What are you talking about?”

J: “We barely have seen each other this week and you just announce to me you’re leaving for Florida?’

V: “It ain’t my fault you are always on that damn TV when I'm here and willing to spend time together.”
