"R" Aces of the Skies

Chapter 2

----- December 2nd, 4:24 PM, Kazegaoka Library -----

A limousine can be seen stopping by the entrance to the large library before it. The door opens to reveal Suzuka coming out of the car.

Suzuka: Then I’ll see you again tomorrow.

She waves goodbye to Nanoha, Nevada and Arisa, who are inside said limousine.

Arisa: Yeah.

Nanoha: Bye-bye!

Both girls and the boy wave back to her with the boy waving with a rather cheerful smile on his face. With the car now leaving, she proceeds into the library. While making her way into a section to look for a particular book, she spotted a familiar girl with black short hair and wearing the same school uniform as she does.

Suzuka: Minako-chan?

The girl, Minako, turns around to face her friend with a smile.

Minako: Ah, Suzuka-chan! You’re here to look for book?

Suzuka: Yeah, a violin book in fact. I was hoping to learn some few new things slight ahead of time.

Minako: Oh is that so? I’m looking for something related to Okinawan martial arts.

Suzuka: You’re taking martial arts training?

Minako: Well, more towards the use of tonfas as a means of self-defense.

Suzuka: Oh, I never knew you were into that sort of thing.

Minako: I’ve only just grown interest of it recently, so I haven’t done anything yet. Besides, I can look for that later, you don’t mind if I help you look for yours first?

Suzuka: That would be great, thanks!

Both girls part ways to look for the book with Minako looking for it at another location while Suzuka searches her current position. While looking through the bookshelves carefully, she can’t help but noticed a girl in a wheelchair trying to reach for a book that is too high for her to get. Suzuka hurry to the wheelchair bounded girl side, grabbing the book which she thought is the one she was trying to reach out.

Suzuka: Is this it?

Girl on Wheelchair: Yes. Thank you so much!

After helping the girl out, Suzuka pushed her wheelchair to a nearby seat for Suzuka to sit.

Suzuka: I see. We’re the same age!

Girl on Wheelchair: Yeah. I saw you around here every so often, and I thought, hey, it’s someone my age!

Suzuka: Actually, so do I.

Both girls smiled at each other and Suzuka went on to introduce herself.

Suzuka: Let’s see. I’m Tsukimura Suzuka.

Hayate: Suzuka-chan… I’m Yagami Hayate.

Suzuka: Hayate-chan…

Hayate: You write Hayate all in hiragana. Isn’t it a strange name?

Suzuka: That’s not true at all! I think it’s a beautiful name.

Hayate: Thanks…

Both girls were then suddenly interrupted by Minako’s presence.

Minako: Suzuka-chan. I think I found the book you’re looking.

Suzuka: Ah, nice timing Minako-chan!

Hayate: Minako-chan?

Minako: Yes, my name’s Minako. Minako Burton. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
