Chapter 8

Hello journal, Novena Dale here! It’s been a very long time since the last time I wrote a journal.  Seven days ago, me and Nanoha-chan were under attack by a hammer wielding girl name Vita, ever so suddenly and without even telling the reason for the attack. Ugh… the nerve… in any case, she managed to overpower me and Nanoha-chan at some point but I was able to quickly stand up again but Nanoha-chan was seriously hurt at that time.

I really wanted to return the favor by dealing twice the amount of damage to that girl but all of a sudden… my attire system suddenly lost power. This problem happened before during my recovery. After having done my usual delivery round, the system suddenly shuts down and I was going into an uncontrollable fall. It was a very scary experience but thankfully system reboot was very fast enough to respond. When I thought I was done for, Fate-chan, Yuuno-kun and Arf-san came to our rescue.

Everything was going well until two more new faces show up. A pink knight going by the name Signum and a guardian beast going by the name Zafira. We were able to even the odds but Signum quite a strong fellow for being able to overpower Fate-chan in a cross-range fight and even Arf also got overpowered at some point as well. Then when Fate-chan and Signum was just about to clash, a new challenger appears and much wow, it was Alicia-chan of all people to suddenly join the fight!

Things just got a lot messier at that point. Thankfully, Nanoha-chan managed to break the knights’ barrier from the inside and save us quite the trouble but she was spiritually injured as her Linker Core was under direct attack from another knight named Shamal. We managed to get her to a medical center inside a TSAB HQ. Just being inside the place really doesn’t sit very well for me but at the very least, Nanoha-chan has begun her recovery alongside her and Fate-chan’s devices. Speaking of Fate-chan, she was also injured but not as bad as Nanoha-chan.

After checking up the condition of the devices, we were told to have an interview with a high ranking officer, which is an admiral in this case. He was an Englishman from the same world as Nanoha-chan name, Gil Graham. He seems very polite and soft spoken but I have my doubt of him since he’s still a person working under the TSAB. After the interview, we are to gather in a single room for a briefing and it turns out that those knights a few hours ago were already involved in the case of mage assaults and it’s also linked to yet another Lost Logia incident, the Book of Darkness.

After the briefing, I took the chance to help the crew of the Arthra to speed up preparations to move to Nanoha-chan’s world and into a new base of operation for tomorrow. When that day comes, me, Nanoha-chan, Fate-chan and Alicia-chan went to check it out and wow it’s quite a place they got and you can even see Nanoha-chan’s house from there! That’s also when Suzuka-chan, Arisa-chan and Minako-chan had finally meet face-to-face with the Testarossa sisters. We then showed the sisters around the city, going sightseeing and playing games.

Time goes by very fast as we send time together and it was finally time to head back home. I didn’t went home with Nanoha-chan since I “told” her that I wanted to stay at Hayate-chan’s house for the entire month since I completely forgot to visit her while I was recovering. Wah, I’m very sorry Hayate-chan! But that’s also where I discovered that Hayate-chan IS the master of the Book of Darkness and that those Knights were under her care!

I was just about to blast those knights away until Hayate-chan asked us to stop immediately and ask for us to behave and enjoy the food she made for everyone. I’ve never seen her this angry before and it was scary… very scary. After eating, the knights make an excuse that we had a misunderstanding at first which I simply reinforce it by “saying”. They were taken aback by my sudden move to play along with them and even told me their side of the story, which they’ve been with Hayate-chan for almost six months now.
