"R" Aces of the Skies

Chapter 18

----- Scrapyard somewhere in an unknown planet -----

The three girls had been chasing after the black Bydo for quite some time until it decided to open up a portal exit in which the three girls follow into. The moment they exit the desynch space, they are greeted by the sight of what looks to be a scrapyard of sort with lots of machinery being torn apart and lay wasted in the area.

Without warning, Novena suddenly turned into a boy and that the three kids were suddenly assaulted by green spherical looking objects that appear to be dragging some of the junk lying around. Before they could react, they were suddenly got destroyed by five blue laser streams.

Minako knew those lasers all too well and as she thought, her father's Vic Viper and it's four blue sphere "options" can be seen approaching the three kids.

Minako: Papa!

Aegis: M-Minako!? And you two!? What in the world are you all doing here!?

Alicia: Burton-san? Ummm yeah… we kind of just wandered and got here just now.

Aegis: Are you sure that you're not lost or something?

Nevada shakes his head.

Minako: No papa. In fact, its just like what Alicia-chan said, we just got here. But the thing she forgot to mention is that we are aftering an enemy who has been appearing repeatedly on earth quite a number of times to attack Novena-kun here and. We went after it through a warp hole and we ended up here. What is this place anyways, papa?

Aegis: Hmmm… interesting. Well before we go over on what happened to you all, this place is called the Cemetery. As in, like a graveyard of all the Bacterian ships that were destroyed long ago.

As the older Burton had done talking, he resumed to shoot any Bacterian foolish enough to interrupt them.

Minako: I-If these things were meant to stay dead…

Alicia: Then what in the world made them start moving again!?

Aegis: That's what I was curious myself. Which is why I am here to investigate on why it happened again.

Alicia: What do you mean by "again"?

Aegis: That's a story for another day, kid. Right now, we got enemies to deal with, follow my lead and try to destroyed everything on sight.

Minako: Okay, papa!

Alicia: Alright, time to put my shooting spells into good use here!

The elder Burton then leads them to the upper section, where they encounter various machines from the simple small green ones that drag junk around to hatches that launch junk upwards. These enemies were easily destroyed by the combined force of the four individuals rather quickly. They even encounter a machine that was still functional enough to swing its four arms around in an attempt to crush the four individuals. But it too was destroyed very swiftly due to the focused fire on the machine's core unit located at the center.

As they slowly move forward while going the upper route, they encounter numerous flying enemies which are very easily dealt with along with turrets from both the ceiling and ground, filling the air with bullets that are quite easily to dodge thanks to the speed in which the exhibit. Often times, they would be attacked from behind and due to the nature of the force module and the Vic Viper's "Options", such an ambush attempt was futile. That was when they come across a fork route. Alicia was just about to ask which route they take until the black Bydo suddenly destroys and take the bottom route.

Alicia: The black Bydo!

Aegis: Is that the thing you kids were aftering?

Minako: Yes, papa. That thing has been such a meany to us.
