I had been sitting in my bed for a few hours now, just scrolling through my Instagram, when I heard the living room elevator open.

Normally I wouldn't suspect of anything, but I could hear someone cry. Natasha.

Natasha sometimes would come to me for support so I already knew what her cry sounded like, so I got up from my bed and headed to where I heard her.

"Hi, do you want to talk?" I asked.

"I'm fine." Natasha said wiping her tears.

"No, you're not. Just talk to me." I said taking a seat on the couch.

She hesitated before she sat with me. I patiently waited for her to talk, as I didn't want to pressure her.

"You know the mission I was on?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"I finished it four days ago. I took the opportunity that I was in Russia and went to look for my parents." She said.

"Oh. What did you find?" I asked knowing it wasn't going to be good.

"I kind of already saw this coming, but I never actually thought about it." She said before finally looking me in the eyes for the first time.

"What is it Nat? You're scaring me." I said taking her hands in mine.

"I found them. Well, actually I found their graves. They died a few years ago." Natasha said making go stiff.

I instantly remembered the day I realized my parents died, and I remember feeling so much pain, but I had Pietro, and we help each other to this day, but Nat was alone.

"I am so sorry." I said.

With those four simple words Natasha started balling her eyes out. She hugged me and I just let her cry everything she was keeping bottled up.

I was there for her, because I know she needed someone there for her. Although I knew this wasn't the time, I could feel my heart beating like crazy.

I was actually planning on telling Natasha how I felt about her this week, but I decided against it the moment I heard her cry.

"Thank you." Natasha said breaking our hug and looking at me with a smile.

"I'm always here for you Nat." I said with a small smile.

We sat there in a comfortable silence, just looking at each other, simply appreciating the others company.

She suddenly took my hands in hers before kissing my lips. I immediately melted to her touch.

"No, we can't do this." I said stopping the kiss.

"Why?" She asked me with a mad tone in her question.

"Although I really want this, this isn't a good time. I know you want someone, and I'll be there for you but you don't want this, at least not like this. I know you." I said.

"You like me?" Natasha asked as if it wasn't already obvious.

"I really do, but if we're going to do this, it's not starting like this. So let's just appreciate our time here for each other and we'll think about that some other day. Right now I'm just a friend supporting another friend." I said with smile.

"Okay." She said before cuddling up with me.

I was going to argue about it but I knew this was the best it got, so I just let her be and we ended up falling asleep on the couch, looking after each other, like we always have and always will.
