Third Person P.O.V
Although the Avengers are a brave set of people, they all have their fears. They were humans after all, each one fought their own fears, but everyone was certain of one thing. Natasha Romanoff has no fears. She wasn't afraid of war or of being held hostage, as far as they knew, she had no fears.
After the incident with Wanda in Sokovia, they were more aware of each others fears. They would talk about it and helped each other out. Whenever Natasha was asked what she saw, she simply stated that she saw herself and no one dared to contradict or ask even further.
Recently some of them had noticed that Wanda and Natasha had been getting closer. Hanging out a few times everyday, and everyone was aware of the close and protective bond the girls had created.
Wanda had an admiration for Natasha that she simply couldn't explain. She cared for the woman more than anything. Always being interested on what she had to say, or asking for more training to spend more time with her. Recently though, Wanda couldn't help but notice that Natasha was a bit strange.
She had noticed that everytime Thor would return to Asgard, Natasha was in a bad mood, sleeping most of the day and waking up with big bags under her eyes. Wanda never dared to ask why she felt this way, as she simply assumed Natasha had a crush on Thor, and that being left behind was something that made her feel alone.
Wanda was in bed going crazy. She had never been awake this late, but she couldn't stop thinking about the possibility of Thor and Natasha being into each other. It was around 4am when she decided to get up and get something to eat since she knew she wasn't going to sleep anytime soon.
Walking out to the common room, she could hear movements from upstairs. It could be someone coming back from the bathroom, or someone had brought back someone from a date, but these were more angry kind of sounds so she went to check what was going on.
Realizing the noise came from Natasha's room she assumed it had something to do with Thor, but since she cared deeply for the woman she knocked on the door. It hurt her to see Natasha like this and she had to do something.
"Can I come in Nat?" Wanda asked softly not trying to startle anyone else.
"Yeah." Natasha said.
The sight as she opened the door pained her heart. Natasha was curled up in bed, completely under the covers with only her head poking out to breathe properly. Wanda made her way to where Natasha was staring and sat on the floor.
"Do you want to talk?" Wanda asked respecting Natasha's boundaries.
"You should go back to bed Wanda. I won't make more noise don't worry." Natasha asked as she sniffled a bit.
"Tell me. What's up? I'm all ears." Wanda said positioning herself in a more comfortable position and waiting for Natasha to talk.
"Nothing's wrong Wanda. I'm fine." Natasha stated.
"You talk in your sleep." Wanda said softly. Natasha finally turned to face her, as her tears slowly ran down her face.
"Oh. I'm sorry." Natasha said embarrased.
"Nothing to be sorry about. Talk to me Nat, is it about Thor?" Wanda asked getting closer to the bed.
"Thor? No. Why? What did he do now?" Natasha asked sitting up.
"Well, he went back to Asgard, and you've been sad ever since, so I just assumed you were sad because of him." Wanda said, being now, the embarrassed one.
"I understand you're new, so I'm going to clarify something, I don't swing that way." Natasha said.
"W-Well then what i-is it?" Wanda said trying to hide the fact she was taken aback.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone. If anyone finds out I'll never hear the end of it." Natasha sighed as she sat with her back against the headboard of the bed.
"I promise." Wanda said sitting on the corner of the bed, intrigued at what she had to say.
"Thunder. Lightning. I'm terrified of it." Natasha said so softly you could barely hear it.
At that same exact moment Wanda's heart melted. The girl everyone thought was to mean, or to tortured to be scared of something, had just opened up to her. At the same time thunder was heard from afar and lighting hit close to Natasha's window. Natasha curled up under the covers and started sniffing a bit more.
"Look, don't worry about it. Here." Wanda said. She looked up and saw Wanda make a small red power bubble and place it on Natasha's head. The noise was muted off and she could now sleep for awhile in peace.
"Thank you Wanda." Natasha said laying more comfortably and relaxed. Wanda nodded in acknowledgement and started slowly walking away to go back to bed.
"Goodnight Nat." Wanda said.
"Wait. Can you stay? Please." Natasha said softly.
"Always." Wanda said slipping into bed and cuddling up to Natasha.
