Chapter 16

Hewwo! I'm back with a the next chapter. So I have a schedule that I'm going by. Since I need to keep an eye on school, I'll only do a chapter or two on the weekends. I'm sorry but you'll have to wait a week. 😔 If I'm lucky enough to have extra time, I could make a chapter on the weekday! 😊 Anyway~ Please enjoy!

Kasumi's POV:

"Todoroki..."

He had slightly wide eyes, probably from seeing me here. Not surprising to be honest. I'm kinda surprised that he's here too but I just act natural. Plus, seeing out of school, wearing different clothing is strange for me but he looks nice.

"What are you doing here?" he asks, going back to his cold self.

"I'm just here to get some food. Didn't get to eat breakfast," I say putting away my ear buds. "I could ask the same for you. What are you doing here?" He looks forward at the front, over my head since I'm shorter than him.

"I come here often. This is my mother's favorite bakery and I bring her some of her favorites to her," he replies. I was a little surprised. He never really talked about his mother nor I never asked him about her. It's nice to see that he gets her things she likes. I lightly smile and look back at the front.

"How sweet."

In the corner of my eye, I could see him looking back at me with a raised eyebrow. I just chuckle at his small reaction as it was my turn to order. After ordering, I decided to wait for Todoroki while he orders. I waited outside in the front of the cafe until he came out. He seemed to notice me and probably knew I was waiting. He walked up to me and gave me a small smile while I return it. We sat at one of the tables outside of the shop and started to talk about random things like the sports festival coming up.

"So where are you going? After this?" he asks me. I shrug, taking a bite out of my big fat crescent roll.

"I just finished training and I came here. I have nothing else planned."

"Hm? You were training?" he says raising an eyebrow at me.

"Of course. I know the Sports Festival is coming soon so I have to be ready, right?" I say.

"Yeah right but...you had a pretty ruff battle back at U.S.J. Don't you think you?" he ask. I look up at him and he seemed kind of worried. Todoroki? Worried? No way.

"I guess I had." I scratch the back of my neck and sheepishly smile at him. He gives me a small smile back and takes a sip of his drink. "So what about you? Are you up to anything since you are in town?"

He puts his drink down and continues to poke at his food. "I'm going to visit my mother."

"Oh~ So that's why you came here to get your mother some food," I say as he nods and takes a bite out of his food.

"You should meet her one day.."

This took me by surprise. Me meeting his mother? I was not ready for that. I mean- I would love to meet her, but...I don't know. I feel like I'm not ready. I snap out of my thoughts with Todoroki waving his hand infront of my face.
