Chapter 17

Kasumi's POV:

Two weeks has passed and the Sports festival has arrived. Everyone has been training themselves for this day, including me. In present time, all of class 1-A is waiting in the waiting room.

I was deep in thought until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I look up to see Momo. She had a concerned look on her face.

"Are you okay, Kasumi-san? You seem stressed..." she asks in a worried tone. To be honest, I am kind of stressed. I worried if all of my training went to waste. One wrong move, I could fail.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just in deep thought.." I reply looking back down.

"Well we are all heading out now. We need to get going," she says cheerfully. I nod and stand up and she gives me a smile. "Don't worry. We'll do great!"

"Yeah...we will," I say giving her a small smile. We start to walk out of the waiting room but before I did, I see Todoroki approaching Midoriya.

'I wonder what they're talking about..' I thought to myself. I just brushed off the thought and followed the rest of my class. We all walked out to the Freshman Stage and the crowd starts to cheer. I look around to see the other students from the departments looking at us mad. I just get annoyed and continue to walk. We all line up as Midnight walk up onto the stage. Almost every single boy here falling for her. Of course Mineta is drooling. I roll my eyes at the drooling boys.

"What pervs..." I say earning some giggles from my fellow classmates. Midnight whipped her whip that got everyone to shut up and pay attention. She started talking but I was zoned out. I wasn't paying attention much. I already knew how the sports festival worked thanks to my dad. But I was snapped out of it when I heard my name.

"Representing the students is Katsuki Bakugou and Kasumi Aizawa from Class 1-A!"

I look up to see everyone staring at me and Bakugou. He started to walk towards the stage as I followed since she called my name too. We arrive on the stage and Midnight gives me a thumbs up and I give her a small smile. She was always there for me. Like a mother. Bakugou walks towards the mic and started speaking.

"I pledge...that I will win 1st place."

Everyone stared at him shocked. Well, not everyone. I wasn't really surprised by his "speech." Other freshmen classes started to yell at Bakugou as he walked away. Midnight put a hand on my shoulder, singling me to say something. I sigh and walk towards the mic.

"I am sorry about Bakugou. He is serious about this, and I'm sure you all are too. I will try my best to win the sports festival and give it my all. That mean you all better do that same. Don't wimp out on this moment. No matter what happens, I will never have negative thoughts on who ever wins. Give it your all and good luck."

I slightly bow as the crowd starts cheering. I walk towards Midnight and she gives me a proud nod and I smile back as I walk off the stage. I wasn't lying about those words. I said I will give it my all to win 1st place.
