"You are an idiot. Getting worked up over such a small trivial matter. The hard look on your face says you can feel exactly how bad Jimin must feel so the fact that you're still here pisses me off."
Hoseok isn't surprised by the harshness in Yoongi's tone. After all, he woke him up to vent to him and waking him up annoyed Yoongi alone. And what his hyung just said, it's true. He could feel just how upset and hurt Jimin is right now and it's hurting him a lot. He feels so guilty but he's also really scared that Jimin will reject him. He really needs his hyung to convince him to get in his car and go back.
"Hyung-"
"Don't "hyung" me. Go make up with Jimin. Now. Or I'll run away with my soulmates and never see you again." Yoongi states, standing up from the couch and pulling Hoseok with him. Hoseok won't stand, however, because he's still scared.
"What if he hates me now? What if he rejects me completely now?" Hoseok asks worriedly, shaking his arm out of Yoongi's grasp. Yoongi sighs and puts his hands on his hips.
"Hoseok, your mark would change colors and fade if he didn't want you to be his soulmate anymore. And if he hated you, you'd feel it." The older man points out, raising an eyebrow. Hoseok opens his mouth before quickly closing it and nodding. His hyung was right, once again.
"Now, come on and get up. You've got a lot of apologizing to do. Maybe even some begging, if you're unfortunate." Yoongi states, actually managing to pull Hoseok to his feet this time. The younger allows himself to be pushed out of his hyung's apartment.
"Don't come back with some sob story because I won't let you in if you do," Yoongi states, poking his head out into the hallway.
"Thanks, hyung," Hoseok says, giving the elder a smile. Yoongi rolls his eyes before slamming his door shut.

Jimin doesn't know how long he sat, with his knees drawn up to his chest so he could rest his head on them, just staring into empty space. He does know he's only pulled from his stupor when his phone rang loudly from his bedroom.
Hoping it's a call from Hoseok, Jimin bolts up from the couch and runs to his room. He is, however, disappointed and freaked out when he sees the call... is from Jae.
Jimin knows he shouldn't but he answers the call anyways.
"Jiminie hyung! You answered. Did you get the flowers? Did you like them? Did you read my note? Did you"
Jimin bites his lip and stays quiet, thinking. Thinking about the situation... about what Hoseok said. Has he actually been taking this situation seriously? Jimin knows he's soft but when he means business he can be quite mean. And until now, he's avoided hurting Jae's feelings. Maybe that's where he's going wrong.
"Jae, could you shut up? Please."
"What's wrong, hyungie?"
"I need you to stop all of this. This puppy love crush and the flowers. Please."
"Why?"
"I've told you why dozens of times! Just stop!"
"I won't, hyungie. I want you to accept me."
"I accept you as a friend! Isn't that enough?"
"No."
"Damn it, Jae! Do you understand how your actions affect me?!" Jimin can no longer suppress his frustration; he's crying and he knows Jae can hear him.
"Hy-hyungie?"
"Do you... Can you understand how this is hurting me, Jae? Not being able to return your feelings the same way but still let you waste your time on me? It hurts, Jae."
Jae goes quiet and, after a moment, Jimin begins to wonder if he should hang up.
"I... I'll stop pursuing you, hyung... but I need to see you one more time before I do."
"Why do you need to see me?"
"Please, Jimin hyung. This is the last thing I'll ask of you. Please just meet me at your workplace today, at 5."
"...Fine."
"Thank you, hyung."
Jae hangs up after that and Jimin doesn't hesitate to toss his phone next to him on the bed. He wonders if he can get Namjoon to accompany him there because he's pretty sure Jungkook will be "busy".
"Agi."
Jimin screams and practically jumps out of his skin as he turns his head to see Hoseok standing in the doorway, hands on his hips. The younger becomes stuck between hugging the older man or turning away from him so he does neither.
"Hoseok." He states and immediately regrets it when Hoseok's expression crumples, making the man look like he's seconds away from crying. Hoseok surprises the younger when he quickly walks over to him before wrapping his arms around Jimin's waist and lying his head on his lap.
"I'm sorry! Please don't be mad at me. I'm sorry for being stupid and picking a fight over nothing. I'm sorry I left you." The elder sobs, tightening his grip on the younger man. If Jimin wasn't so shocked he would've paid more attention to his own shattering heart.
"Ch-cheonsa, look at me, please. Please stop crying. You're gonna make me cry." Jimin croaks, rubbing Hoseok's back. It takes a moment but soon the older man is sniffling and finally looking up at Jimin. The younger gently cups the other man's face and wipes away the remaining tears, smiling softly.
"I could never hate you, hyung. I thought you were still mad about earlier." He says softly, receiving a head shake from Hoseok.
"I came back to apologize for being stupid and hotheaded. I was just... jealous."
Jimin somehow finds it in himself to giggle before kissing his soulmate on the forehead. Hoseok rolls his eyes before pulling himself completely onto the bed so he's now lying on top of the younger's legs.
"Who were you on the phone with, agi? You agreed to something with them." Hoseok finally asks, staring up into Jimin's eyes. The younger bites his lip, wondering if he should tell the truth or not before an idea pops into his head. He could bring Hoseok with him to meet Jae. It could backfire on him and start a fight but it's worth the risk.
"I... have to go meet Jae this afternoon so he'll give up on me and move on."
"You called him or he called you?" Hoseok asks immediately, narrowing his eyes.
"He called me but normally I wouldn't answer his calls... but I wanted to end this mess."
"And you're going alone?" Hoseok raises an eyebrow, sitting up a little more.
"No. You're going with me," Jimin states, smiling once again.
"I'm going?"
"Yes, you're going to protect me. I mean, you do want to protect me, right?" Jimin asks, pouting. He immediately smiles when Hoseok nods his head rapidly and the elder realizes he's been played.
"You're a little trickster." Hoseok teases, pressing a kiss to an exposed part of Jimin's tummy.
"Yes, I am. Now get up, please. I haven't eaten this morning." Jimin whines, stretching his back.
"It's actually afternoon."
"Who cares, cheonsa? Do you want to starve?"
"No, I don't, baby." Hoseok quickly says, removing himself from the younger. Jimin giggles again before getting up from the bed. Hoseok, on the other hand, swears that from now on, he'll keep Jimin smiling.
