I open my eyes to see I'm in a smallish room. I sit up too quickly and get a headache and vertigo.

"Be careful there." I hear a voice beside me. I whip my head around which makes my head hurt even worse. I hold my head in pain and lay back down hoping the pain goes away.

"Sorry."  I whisper.

"It's fine, someone wants to see you so I'm going to inform them you're awake. If anyone enters ignore them. Especially the guy with the big eyes and wide smile, definitely ignore him." I just nod. I didn't know who I was talking to. It was a girl in a nurse outfit.

"Hello child." I look over to see a tall guy with no face talking to me. But he has no mouth! What! Did I just fall through a rabbit hole into a whole different universe- what if I am, what if this isn't English we're speaking, what if I'm in andromeda, Wait does andromeda have any planets that can hold life? Wait that would be so cool! What if I'm secretly talking to aliens! I don't think we've gotten that far yet- Elon musk better make it happen before I die.

"Child calm down, now I can't answer any of those questions beside the whole talking one. I talk to you telepathically."

"You're funny."

"Thanks... anywho, why am I here? Wait, where even is here?" I sit up once again and face him fully.

"You're in the woods, in my mansion, and you're here because I thought I could use you for something."

The woods, a mansion...kidnapping is exactly what the sounds like, but as long as it's better then that shit hole I'll be fine. "Uhh, hard pass, can I leave?"

"You aren't going to leave, you're going to do what I ask of you. And beside it includes something I think you might like!" He 'smiles'... I think, I can't really tell as a result of lack of facial features.

"Okay?" I whisper.

"Okay, well I will wait for you to get dressed, I'll get Sally to give you a tour of the place" he walks out. I look to see my bag on a chair. I sigh and pull out a hoodie along with some leggings.

"Hey y/n!" Sally says in a cheerful voice. Almost too cheerful. I love it!

"Hello Sally!" I laugh softly.

"Tour?" She asks, I just nod.

"Okay, I'll introduce you to everyone first!" She grabs my hand and runs down the hallway.

"Attention attention! This is y/n she will be staying with us!"

"Hey hot stuff, how you doing?" An elf boy says.

"I'm doing well, but just so you know I prefer my guys with a little more height to them, sorry." I bring my hand up to the back of my neck.

"OH SHIT!" I see the guy with the wide smile the nurse was talking about before screaming.

"Hey you don't have a chance either." The elf boy says.

"Hey, would you go on a date with me?" Wide eyes says to me.

"I'd rather go with elf boy." I cross my arms.

"HAHAH- Wait, elf boy? Really?" I start laughing.

"What's your name then link wannabe?" I smile softly at him.

"The name is BEN." He says and goes back to playing his game.

"What about you wide eyes?" I look at the boy next to him.

"Jeff the killer."

"Oooh, Mr. Go To Sleep!" I smile while waving my hands in front of my chest.

"I like this girl, a lot." BEN says while laughing. I roll my eyes see a few people I don't recognize.

"That's Ticci Toby, Masky, Hoodie, And Ej!" Sally says as she points at each and every boy. I nod and heard a familiar song.

"Half a pound of tuppenny rice
Half a pound of treacle
That's the way the money goes
Pop goes the weasel"

I look over my shoulder to see a monochrome clown staring at me. I shiver and go behind Sally. The clown stands in front of me.

"Candy?" I shake my head and look down. I sigh and think for a minute. I've never had candy before. Like never.

"Everyone likes candy! Come on! Give it a try!" The clown pushes my candy into my face. I frown and take candy.

"Not now." I whisper. I look at the ground and take Sally's hand and we walk back to 'my room'.

"That wasn't everyone..." She whispers a little.

"I don't care, it's just too much." I sigh, "do you guys have a library?"

"Yeah! I'll show you the way!" She smiles big. We stop at my room, I grab my phone and earbuds and follow Sally to the library.

"You like to read?" I ask.

"Not really, I do like tea parties though!." Sally smiles sweetly. God, how can I every say no to that cute face of hers! "Here it is! I'll be in the living room or my room- my door is pink so you'll be able to find it easily!"

I walk toward the shelves of books and just gawk. My new goal: read every single book in here.

I start running around the library picking out books I think are interesting.

"Hey y/n?" I hear a voice from behind me.

"Y-yeah?" I say trying to see around the books.

"Dinner is done- but you seem busy." The person says.

"No! I'm not! Just help me get these books to my room then I will eat." I smile. I feel the heavy books get lifted off my arms. I look to see EJ I look forward while trying to focus on getting to my room without trippi- I feel my whole body fall forward and then my face is in a book...literally.

"You need help there?" I hear EJ say.

"No- I'm fine!" I automatically start blushing because I'm embarrassed. I sit up and pick up the books. I hold back the tears. I've walked in heels all my life and yet I can't walk on carpet in my tennis shoes? You're kidding me.

The second I get to my room I grab all the books and shove them on my desk. I turn to EJ and whisper "get out" to him. My voice cracks and it's almost inaudible.

"What?"

"Get out!" I scream and the tears start flowing. He walks out and shakes his head. I let myself fall to the ground. I didn't mean it. I want him to come back. I don't know him yet I already feel attached. What he's done for me, even if it wasn't a lot, it was still more then I've ever experienced before.
