Brett felt surprisingly okay from yesterday's drinking when he woke up around noon the next day. He was not surprised to find himself cuddled into Eddy's bare chest, hearing his soft snores and feeling his hand resting underneath Brett's t-shirt on his lower back. It was nice being held like this. He had never seen himself as the one being held, but rather as the one holding. He found that he definitly didn't mind being held, as long as the one holding him was Eddy.

He wasn't sure if he loved Eddy the same way Eddy loved him though. The thought of being with Eddy like this hadn't crossed his mind since that one time they read fanfiction for a video, which was almost a year ago now. Was that when the thought crossed Eddy's mind for the first time too? He tried to look up at Eddy's peaceful, sleeping face. How long had Eddy had a crush on him? It could have been forever, for all Brett knew, taking how blind he had been into account.

Eddy shifted slightly, yawned, and pulled Brett closer to him. Brett tilted his head up slightly to see if he had waken up.
"Morning", Eddy mumbled with a rough voice that sent shivers down Brett's spine. He kissed the top of his head softly like he used to when they were watching movies together. "Slept well?"
"Yeah, really well. You?" Brett replied, feeling his lips lightly brush against Eddy's neck as he formed the words. Eddy shivered slightly at the touch.
"Don't think I've slept this well ever."

They stayed in bed in comfortable silence, Eddy every once in a while leaning down to kiss the top of Brett's head or tickle his back with his fingertips, something that gave Brett goosebumps. The silence was only interrupted after a while by Eddy's stomach growling loudly.
"We should get up and eat something", Brett commented, still with his lips just barely touching Eddy's neck, causing him to exhale heavily.
"It's nice to just lie like this, though", Eddy protested, but another snarl from his stomach convinced him Brett was right.

Brett slid out of Eddy's embrace and sat on the side of the bed with his feet on the cold floor, looking for his glasses. He heard the rustling of bedsheets behind him before Eddy tapped him carefully on his upper arm and handed him his glasses.
"They were on my side", he said with a small smile. The words repeated through Brett's mind, and caused his stomach to do somersaults. 'My side'. Eddy had his own side of Brett's bed. That was really something. He put his glasses on and looked around on the piles of clothes. Normally, Brett would hang his clothes neatly over his chair, but the intense need to be close to Eddy had overpowered him before he could get around to it.

"I'll just head over to my room to get some sweatpants and stuff", Eddy said while getting out of Brett's bed. Brett couldn't help but admire his lightly toned bare back as he stepped out of the room. In a way, it felt weird to think about Eddy like that, but at the same time he knew he had noticed it before. Perhaps not in the same way, but he definitly had noticed it.

He slid out of bed and headed to his closet to find some sweatpants for himself. In his peripheral vision he saw Eddy slip past his door, headed towards the kitchen.
"You want eggs?" he heard from the kitchen seconds later, as well as the door of the fridge opening.
"I'd love some, thanks", he replied while searching through the pile of trousers to find something vaguely comfortable to wear. He had a feeling their day wouldn't be a very productive one.
