The next thing they knew, they were at the bar sitting around a table with Jordon, Ray and a few of Ray's friends. Everyone was still trying to get drunk enough to enter the small dance floor, some chattering going on. Brett and Eddy were sitting next to each other, but both tried their best to not look like they would rather sit on each other's lap.
Brett took another gulp of his drink, feeling his vision slowly get slightly closer to double than it normally was. He tried to join in the conversation Eddy and Jordon were having next to him, but found himself just studying how Eddy's lips moved when he talked or listening to his laugh. He didn't really notice how a sheepish smile formed over his lips, and how he sighed contently every once in a while until Ray pushed his elbow into his side.
"You still with us, mate?" he asked with a joking grin, laughing harder as Brett's cheeks turned bright pink.
"Yeah, yeah, just spaced out for a sec", he said, taking another sip of his drink and forcing his eyes off Eddy.
"Sure sure", Ray grinned, elbowing him again.
Brett's eyes wandered over to Eddy again a while later, just in time to see him get up with Jordon. Eddy met his eyes for just a tiny moment before sending him one of his gorgeous smiles.
"Just going to dance with Jordon, I'll be back soon", he said, placing his hand momentarily over Brett's before joining Jordon to dance, not noticing Brett's pink stained cheeks.
Eddy didn't mind dancing with Jordon, it was kinda fun actually, and Brett seemed busy talking to RayBae anyway.
"Eddyyyy...", Jordon giggled after catching him glance over at Brett for probably the millionth time since they got to the dance floor. Jordon was definitely not sober at this point, and tugged on his jean jacket to get his attention. "Just ask him to dance already." Eddy turned red and jokingly punched the arm Jordon had used to tug on his jacket.
"Nooo, he's probably busy with the talking and stuff..." he mumbled. Eddy knew he was making excuses because he was nervous, but he just couldn't help it. He peeked over at Brett, who seemed to be on the last leg of his drink. Jordon seemed to notice that too.
"Buy him a drink first then, he can't say no to a move like that."
It took some persuation, but eventually Eddy went to the bar and bought Brett a drink to be brought over to his table while he himself stayed at the bar. He watched the server walk over with it in anticipation.
Brett was surprised, to say the least, when the server came over and put down a drink in front of him.
"From the gentleman in the bar", he said with a customer service kind of smile, pointing to the giggling drunk Eddy sitting in the bar. Brett peeked over and couldn't help but smile when Eddy winked drunkenly at him. He gave him a quick wave back, a blush forming on his cheeks.
"Looks like someone's trying to get into your pants", Ray joked and poked Brett's arm.
"Shut up, will you", Brett said, still smiling, before pushing Ray playfully. A blush did creep over his cheeks though at the thought. He grabbed his drink and stood up.
"I better see what this idiot wants, then", he excused himself and stepped past Ray with his drink and over to Eddy, much to Ray's entertainment.
"Thanks for the drink", Brett said in an attempted flirty tone before leaning on the bar for support. "Just the kind I like."
"I know you well, you know", Eddy giggled, watching as Brett's lip rested over the edge of the glass while he took a sip. He caught himself licking his own lower lip at the sight. Brett put his now half empty glass down on the bar so he wouldn't have to hold it.
"Ray suggested you bought me a drink to get in my pants?" Brett half asked half stated with a playful grin, loving how Eddy's cheeks looked with the very obvious blush, even in the dim lights of the bar.
"I mean... uh...", Eddy mumbled, pulling some hair away from his face, unsure what to reply. He certainly wouldn't mind if buying him a drink would have that effect, though.
Brett swallowed the rest of his drink in a swift movement, placing the glass on the bar for the bartender to collect. Eddy's heart felt like it might stop any second when Brett leaned in, breathing hot air against his air.
"Buy me another and see if it works", he half whispered, half purred, before placing a soft kiss just below Eddy's ear and watching with a playful smile as the blush creeped from the back of Eddy's neck and all the way up to the roots of his hair. Drunk Brett was definitly a lot braver than sober Brett.
