It was 7:45 AM. I stood in the mirror looking at my outfit over and over again. Black Laced up Shirt, Black Leggings, Black Vans. "It's just a date. Don't be nervous." I told myself.
I fixed my hair one last time and there was a knock on the door. My heart skipped and I grabbed my purse, and phone and opened the door.
"Wow...you're beautiful." He said looking at me.
I blushed hard. "Thanks Jackson." He grabbed my hand and we went down the elevator to the parking lot.
"My Car or Yours?" He asked. "We'll Just take mine." I smiled at him and he brought me over to his Jeep. He helped me get in and he drove us to IHOP.
My heart broke a little, it's the IHOP Zach and I ate at on our senior trip. I wiped the sad away and smiled as he helped me down.
"Hi, Welcome to IHOP. How many?" The hostess asked.
"2."
"Booth or table?"
He looked back at me and I shrugged. "Booth."
She nodded grabbed menus and sat us at our booth. I looked at the menu. We ordered and talked while we waited on the food.
"How were you're classes this week?" He asked grabbing my hand.
"Good. I'm really excited about the semester. Yours?"
"It's a slow start. But as good as It can be. The rest of the semester is gonna be good"
"What's your major again?"
"Biochemistry." I nodded and smiled. His smile was the best. It made my heart melt.
Our food came and we ate and continued small talk. For the first time since leaving home, I felt safe. I was safe with Jackson.
He paid and we walked out to the car. "Do you wanna go home? Or do you wanna do something else?"
I thought for a second and I knew I wanted to hangout with his as long as I could. "Let's do something else. Wanna go to the mall."
He nodded and helped me get into the car. "I'll have to get steps, so my girl can get into my car." My heart skipped and I blushed when he said my girl.
On the drive to the mall he turned on the radio. I sang quietly along to the radio. "It's about an hour to the mall. You can play your music through the car."
I pulled my phone out of my purse and connected my phone. I pressed shuffle on my music and a thousand years came on.
"The day we met frozen, I held my breath right from the start I knew that I found a home for my heart..." I sang and he looked over at me and smiled. "I didn't know you could sing." I smiled and he joined in.
"Time stands still, beauty and all she is." He squeezed my hand and I blushed.
"I didn't know you could sing." He smiled over at me.
We sang the rest of the song together and soon we pulled up at the mall. We walked in hand-in-hand.
"What store first?" He asked and I looked around at the map.
"Victoria's Secret."
We had been at the mall for a couple hours and we decided it was time to head home. We stood in front of my apartment door I played with his hands for a couple seconds and he looked me in the eyes.
"So...what are we calling this?" I asked and he smiled.
"Hopefully, after tonight I can call you my girlfriend..."
"As long as I can call you my boyfriend." I stood on my tippy toes and kissed him.
"Goodnight Girlfriend." He winked.
"Goodnight Boyfriend." I unlocked my door and went inside and leaned up against the door.
I was falling, madly, deeply in love with Jackson Hayes.
