Chapter 8: Leavin'

It's been 2 1/2 weeks since I was in the hospital. They released me after 24 Hours. After they released me I went back to LA and packed a Bag.

I was currently in North Carolina, I just needed to get away from everybody.

I rolled over and slipped on my house slippers and walked into the kitchen of the house I rented.

"When were you gonna tell me where you were." I jumped, Zach was sitting at the island.

"Jesus Christ, Zach." He chuckled. "There's a reason why I wasn't telling people where I was going." I rolled my eyes.

"Abby...are we gonna talk about what happened in LA?" I sighed remembering the night Zach and I got to the apartment after I was released.

(FlashBack)

"Zach you didn't have to come with me, I can take care of myself." He brought my bags into my room and put them on the floor.

"I know, I just needed to make sure you got here safely." I sighed and threw myself onto my bed.

"Come on, it will be fun. I'll sleepover for tonight then I'll be gone in the morning." I smiled at him. I missed being with Zach.

"Fine. One night and one night only." He gave me a cheeky smile.

"I missed you." He rolled onto his side and I followed suit facing him now, our faces were inches apart.

And In Zach and Abby fashion, of course. We had Sex.

After him and I cuddled under the sheets and it was nice, I felt safe in his Arms, I wasn't worried about anything.

The next morning when I woke up, Zach was gone I rolled over to my nightstand and there was a note.

Abby,
I'm sorry I left without saying my flight left at 6 AM. I'll call you when I land

- Zach

"Zach, we had Sex. That's all." I sipped my coffee. "We're adults, we can handle it."

"Yeah, I know. But. Never mind." He sighed and I passed him a cup of coffee and he thanked me and took a drink.

I felt bad for Zach, he had feelings that I wanted to reciprocate so badly, but couldn't. I just got out of a relationship and didn't want to jump back into one again.

"Zach..." he stood up and walked away then turned back around.

"No Abby, I LOVE YOU. but that doesn't seem to be enough for you. I am head over heels in love with you. Abby, I'm switching to UCLA next semester, because I wanna be with YOU." He slammed his hands on the table. "Is that so hard?" I sighed and he came over to me and put his hands on my hips. "I don't wanna sound cheesy but. Pick me, Choose Me, Love Me." Our faces were so close and our lips finally connected.

"Okay." He looked at me shocked.

"What?"

"We'll do this again." He smiled. "I love you Zach."

"I love you too Abby."

(Skip back to LA)

It was now winter break and Zach had just finished moving his things into my apartment. Tomorrow we would be heading home for Christmas and the following week we'd be heading to Aspen for Christmas again.

"BABE, WHERE'S MY KEYS?" Zach yelled from the living room.

"ON THE HANGER NEXT TO THE DOOR!"

"THANKS!"

I smiled to myself, this is what I missed out on for months. Living with the man of my dreams, and getting to be happy.

"Hey, when do you want to head out for dinner?" He asked poking his head into the bathroom.

"Um. I'll just been about 10 minutes, so whenever I'm done getting ready?" I finished applying mascara. He nodded and went back out to the living room.

We pulled into the Olive Garden Parking lot and we walked in. "How many?"

"2"

"Right this way."

"Here's your menu's your waiter will be with you in a minute."

We talked about what we were going to order then the waiter finally came.

"Hi, I'm Jeffery I'll be your server tonight can I start you off with-" he paused "Abby...Zach"

I paused when I heard his voice and looked at him. "Jeff!?"
