Chapter 10: Christmas in Aspen Part 1

Jeff and I finally made it to Aspen at 5:30 on Christmas Eve, just in time for Cookies, Hot Chocolate, and Polar Express.

"WERE HERE!" I yelled swinging the door open pulling my suitcase behind me.

"Babe!" Zach yelled running over to me and giving me a kiss helping me with my suitcase.  "Glad you finally made it!"

I smiled at him and followed him into our room. "I'm super tired. I just want to sleep."  He laid down next to me on the bed.

"We can always skip the movie, I'm sure they'll understand." He pulled me into a hug.

"I really want to nap..." I gave him puppy eyes. "Can we watch a movie up here?" He smiled and nodded.

He went downstairs to find a movie for us and I grabbed my toiletries bag and went into the bathroom. 

I sighed and unzipped the bag and pulled out a pregnancy test. I took it out of the wrapper and sat down and peed.

I cleaned up and set it on the sink and washed my hands, this was gonna be the longest three minutes ever.

I was sitting there with my head in my hands thinking about what I was gonna do if this said positive. Zach and I just got back together and I didn't want to ruin his life.

"Hey, Abby I picked out..." Zach trailed off and I looked at him in shock. He was staring at the test.

"Zach..."

"Why didn't you tell me you were doing this? I would have sat with you. We can do this together." He sat down on the floor next to me, I rested my head on his shoulder and soon the timer went off.

"I can't look..." I said holding his hand tightly.

"I can, if you want me too." He rubbed my hand.

"No...I'll do it."  I stood up and looked at the test on the counter. I swallowed hard and picked it up.

POSITIVE

I looked at Zach and started crying he stood up and hugged me. "We'll get through this together, I promise." 

"Can we cuddle? I really just need to relax right now." We got in bed and he put his hand on my stomach.

"Hey Baby, I know you can't hear me...but I'm your dad." I smiled at him, he's already such a good dad.

He turned on How the Grinch Stole Christmas and we talked baby names, I'm so glad Zach didn't hate me for being pregnant, I've been through so much the last few years, I couldn't take another bad thing happen to me.

(Christmas Morning)

"Morning Guys." I said stretching as I reached the bottom of the stairs. They all mumbled morning as they sat at the table sipping their coffee's.

Zach gave me a kiss and I made myself Hot Chocolate. "When are we doing gifts?" I asked sitting down at the table.

"When Savannah wakes up, it's her First Christmas." I nodded and grabbed a muffin off the table.

Zach smiled at me and I shot him a "Stop looking at me like we're hiding something" look. He looked away.

Soon Savannah woke up and we sat around getting ready to open gifts.

Zach bought me a Coach Bag I was so excited because I had been looking at the bag for months but could never bring myself to buy it.

"Thanks Zachy!" He smiled as I handed him his gift. I bought him a pair of Nike's.

"I love them Abby! I'm gonna wear these to the gym!"

Around 10:30 we finished opening gifts and the cinnamon rolls were out of the oven, we all sat around the table to eat.

"Are you guys really driving back tonight?" Justin asked Zach and I while he bit into his roll.

"Yeah." I grabbed Zach's hand and he smiled at me. "We have things to do tomorrow."

"That sucks, we were gonna go see a movie tonight." Jessica said.

"Yeah, but it's really important we get home before tomorrow." I bit into my cinnamon roll and felt sick to my
Stomach.

I stood up and ran to the bathroom the was off the kitchen "ARE YOU OKAY, ABBY?" Bryce yelled as he followed me into the bathroom holding my hair.

"I-I'm" I threw up again. "Fine." I sat on the floor and he let my hair go. "I'm just gonna clean up and we gotta head out in a few hours."

"Okay, as long as you're okay." He sat for a second "Abby, can I ask you something?" I nodded. "Are You Pregnant?"
