🌼 Abby 🌼

"Jeff!?" He stares at me and I felt tears come to my eyes. It can't be real, I went to his funeral. I couldn't say anything, tears just flowed down my face.

"Jeff...you're dead. You can't be real." Zach stood up.  Jeff looked around and sighed.

"Can we talk about this when I get off of work? I get off in an hour we can meet at my place." We agreed and ordered our food.

After our meal we followed Jeff to his apartment he unlocked the door and motioned for us to sit on the couch.

He sat on the couch across from us and sighed. "I was in a lot of trouble with some bad guys. I had to hide, I had to get away." He looked like he was about to cry.

"Can you ever come back?" I asked wiping my eyes.

"I don't know. But, now that you know where I am I have to leave again. It's just better if nobody knows where I am."  He looked down at his hands and tears fell down his face.

"What did you get yourself into? What happened to you? Who did they bury at your funeral? I was at the hospital when you died!" Tears stained my shirt, and I was a hot mess.

"Abby, my parents knew I had to leave. They buried an Empty casket. I got into drugs with some kids from. Santa Monica. You guys remember Jackson Hayes? He had me selling his drugs for him, and when he refused he threatened to kill me. I had to get away." I looked at him shocked, Jackson Hayes...the guy who I fell in love with, the guy who hurt me. It was all a lie.

"Jackson Hayes...like the kid we went to school with?" Zach said balling his hands into fists.

"Yeah, it's why he ran into Abby at Starbucks, why he chose UCLA." I felt my world start to crumble.

"That's why he asked me out...he wanted to get close to me, to see if I knew where you were." I choked on my words. "He beat me up...I-I'm so stupid."

"He best you up?" Jeff asked getting mad. "I'm gonna kill that fucker."

"Jeff, he's in jail, he's going to prison on multiple charges for Drugs, Violence and Gun Charges." Zach wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close.

"T-that means I can go home...I can't believe I can finally go home." Jeff broke down crying.  "I can finally see my mom."

I smiled softly at him, Jeff was gonna go home.

(Skip a few days)

Jeff was finally home, him and I were sitting on my couch in the living room of my house underneath the blanket we made together watching Harry Potter.

"I've missed this, so so much." Jeff said throwing me a bag of goldfish. "It's gonna be so fun seeing everyone in Aspen."

"Yeah, I'm not ready to share you yet though." He smiled at me.

"Yeah, but you have me all to yourself today, and on the car ride to Aspen." He pushed me over. "You can share Jeffy for a few days in Aspen."

"Fine. But we're gonna listen to my songs on the way there."

"Deal."

We laid in comfortable silence finishing up the movie and shortly Zach, Chloe, and Bryce came through the front door.

"Hey, when can I have my girlfriend back?" We chuckled and he came over and kissed my forehead.

"Now. We just finished the movie, I should be getting home anyways. I gotta see my mom."

We said bye to Jeff and Zach picked me up and carried me To my bed and we laid there talking about how excited we were to head to Aspen tomorrow.

"I can't believe you're coming later then everyone else, it sucks. But Christmas Eve will come soon." He gave me a quick kiss.

"It's just one day. I promise I'll get there as soon as I can."

I was excited for the whole group to be back together for the first time in over a year. Christmas was gonna be good this year, I had Jeff back, I had Zach back, and I had one huge ass secret.
