I looked down at all of my friends trapped in cages from the top of the room. Me and Dick had snuck into the courtroom by crawling through the vents. I looked to my right to check on my brother. He nodded his head, saying that he was ready. Quietly, I jumped down to the railing below me, then flipping off it to land on the bottom floor. "Nightwing!? Nightclaw!?"everyone said. "Don't worry, we're going to get you out of here." Dick said. "I wouldn't be to sure about that." a voice above us said. The leader of the court and my great grandparents stood above us in the balcony. "Let them go! They have no part in this!" I yelled at them. "They have stood in our way for too long! We tried to get you when your parents were killed but, Bruce Wayne stopped us." my great-grandmother said. "So you sent the letter to Bruce, telling him you were coming after us. He took us away from you, and now you were going take us away from him." Dick said. "Bruce Wayne is quite persistent. He sent your friend, Rachel to find you. But, we couldn't let her do that." William said, joining our conversation. "They know Rachel and Bruce's identities. How long have they been trying to find us?" I thought. "You have us now. You can let them go, you don't need them anymore!" I yelled at them. "Jackie Grayson, we are not fools. You would never join us by your own free choice. But you would by force. If you want to save your friends and family, then you must join us." the head of the court said. "Who are you?!" Star shouted at him. He didn't say anything. He slowly reached up to his mask, and pulled it off, revealing himself.
"Lincoln March." I spat. "You didn't need Bruce's help, did you?! You had the court helping you with your campaign." Dick said angrily. "I had to keep up my appearances. You two should know all about that." Lincoln said, smiling. "And, I wouldn't be concerned about us right now. I would be more focused on them." he said, pointing down at us. "What are you-" I started to say. I turned around, and saw what he was talking about. Benny, Kory, Damian, Raven and Emma fell over in pain clutching onto either the ground or their arms. I ran over to the cage Benny and Emma were in. "Your friends tried to free themselves from their prisons. Your family has been keeping you away from us for far too long!" Vanessa said. "Don't have any choice." I thought. I grabbed the bars of their cell, and used all of my strength to pull them apart. "Come on, come on." I said through gritted teeth. When I thought I pulled them apart enough, I grabbed Emma by her cape pulling her out. Emma was holding her side as her nose started to bleed. "Emily." Bruce called out to me. "They placed microbots in their bloodstream." he said. I knew what he wanted me to do, so I pulled out a needle with some antibodies Bruce had created to fight off toxins and anything else that could affect someone through their bloodstream. I injected Emma with the concoction and watched as she seemed to calm down. Dick had figured it out to and did the same thing to Damian and Raven. He was working on helping Kory, when I started to try and help Benny. "STOP THEM!" Lincoln yelled. On cue, hundreds of talons jumped out of the shadows with their weapons drawn. I handed the needle to Emma. "You have to help him. I'll cover you." I told her. As the talons jumped down to fight us, I realized something. Me and my brother were now the only thing standing in their way of not just killing all of the heroes, but also taking over Gotham.
"You guys really think you can stop us." I said as I was fighting some of the talons. "I mean, come on I've fought Trigon and won. Several times, may I add." I said as I took two of them down. We had managed to take a couple down, thanks to Damian, Kory, and Raven who had been working on freeing everyone. The talons that were fighting me started to back off a bit. "Nightclaw, behind you!" Flash yelled at me. I quickly rolled out of the way as a dagger hit the ground where I once stood. My great-grandmother was leaning against the railing, glaring daggers at me. "Nice try, but it seems you missed." I sarcastically said to her. "Did I?" she said smirking. "Grayson!" Emma yelled. I looked over to where she was and saw what happened. Vanessa had thrown two daggers at Benny and Emma. I ran over to where the two of them were, my heart racing a mile a minute. "No, please no." I pleaded. My great-grandmother had thrown two daggers at them, and they were going to hit Emma but Benny got in the way. One of them was lodged deep into his side, and the other near his stomach. He was losing a lot of blood. I knew we wouldn't be able to fix it until we got back to the tower. "Did you give him the antidote?" I asked her trying to stay calm. "I did, but it didn't seem to do much." Emma explained to me. "Benny, listen to me. You need to stay awake. Stay awake for me, please." I pleaded with him. I looked up and saw Vanessa leaving. "She's not getting away with this." I thought. Without another word, I ran to the door I had gone through when I was first here. "Emily! Where are you going?"Tim asked me. I looked at him, and thought for a bit about was I was going to do. "I'm going to finish this." I stated.
