It Was Good...

Chapter Five

Chapter Five:

All day at school the next day all I could think of was: 'Tonight is the night I die.' Callie kept trying to talk to me but I couldn't hold a conversation for more then about a minute without losing focus on what she wanted to talk about which was usually how cute we would be at homecoming in our dresses.

"Good morning Oakwood High School! It's time for your morning announcements so listen up. Today after school is..." The secretary on the announcements droned on and on until I perked up for the important part "tomorrow night is your 2016 homecoming! The home coming court is as follows: the princesses are Madison Chaney, Callie Gordon, Morgan Acosta.."

As the names went on I tuned out until I heard something that shocked me to all hell "Jordan Adams, and Jacey Turner!" Everyone in the classroom continued to turn and congratulate Callie and I while I sat there in shock just nodding thanks.

"And now for the Oakwood High princes! Daniel Highland, Ethan Montgomery, Bryan Logan's, Mario Romero, and lastly Kayln Conley."

It was my turn to turn and congratulate Kayln about his nomination as he just thanked everybody kindly for the nomination.

"Congrats" I heard in my ear when we were sitting at lunch. I turned and found Ethan standing there looking quite smug.

"Thanks babe, you too." I said kissing his cheek.

"Can't wait for tonight, see you at your house? Five o'clock?"

"Sounds alright to me." I smiled as he started walking away.

I heard a gagging noise behind me and turned to find that Kayln was half sticking his finger down his throat at me. I laughed a little then just felt guilty about the finger in the throat thing.

"I'm coming over after school." Kayln said quietly to me.

"I know. My mother told me that you were coming to dinner, which is something you know you should've brought up to me." I said coldly.

"Well I didn't think you'd care considering your little boy-toy is coming also." He said standing up.

"You know Kayln what is the big deal about you not liking Ethan? He's my boyfriend that I've been with for two years now and he loves me! If you have an issue with it you can just walk away." I said rather harshly. As I saw the hurt expression cross on his face I knew I had gone to far. "Kayln, I-"

"Save it." He said walking away leaving me to be gawked at by the entire table.

I looked around and looked everyone straight in the face "Did you enjoy the show? Find something else to look at!" Everyone went back to their conversations and lunches while I sat and leaned my head on Callie's shoulder.

Tonight is the night that I die.

Kayln was waiting by my car after school which was what I least expected considering how I screamed at him earlier.

"Hey." I said as I unlocked the car door.

"Do you think I could shower at your place?" He said getting in without even saying hello.

"The proper response when someone says 'Hey' is to say it back."

"Hey, do you think I could shower at your place?" He said not even phased.

"Yeah sure, you could use my dad's shower." I said as I continued to drive.

When we got to myself all was pretty normal, mom wasn't behind, Chris was going through my stuff, and Kayln just acted like he owned the place. My mom said it would be fine if he showered here as long as he went to a separate room while I showered.
