The next day I picked Kayln up as I usually did and we made our way to school with just the radio filling the car. He seemed quite tired as though he hadn't slept so I just let him alone. One thing I learned from my dad is you never wake up a sleeping man.
I pulled up next to Callie's car in our usual spots and had to shake Kayln awake a little to get him out of the car.
"Kayln, come on we have to get to class." I said shaking his arm and unbuckling his seat belt.
"Go away Jordan I'm sleeping." He said pushing me half out of the car.
"Fine fail school, see if I care." I said getting out and slamming the door for good measure.
"Damn it." I heard as my other car door opened and he slowly emerged from the car.
"That's what I thought." I said pulling him towards everyone.
"Babe." I heard Ethan say from behind me as I pulled Kayln along.
I stopped and turned around waiting for him to catch up as I let Kayln's arm go.
"Hey sweet cheeks how goes it?" I said going to hug him.
"Much better now that I get to see your pretty face." He said putting his arms around me.
"Aw shut up." I heard Callie say as Ethan released me settling for just taking my hand.
"Hey baby how's it going?" I said hugging her with Ethan's hand still in mine.
"Pretty good until barf rest began over here." She said laughing making a barfing noise.
"Oh shut up you used to think it was cute." I said as I motioned for David to take her hand.
He quickly complied and she melted like she always does.
"Hey look over there!" I said pointing as she followed my finger.
"What? What?"
"It's all your bullshit that just sprouted and grew legs." I said poking her side making her crack a smile.
"Oh fine, but really same that shit for the bedroom." She said pointing at Ethan and I.
I blushed automatically as Ethan just smiled and put his arm on my shoulder. I looked over and noticed Kayln was being extremely quiet which is very unlike him.
"Kayln? You alright?" I said kicking his foot.
"What? Yeah of course I'm fine." He said snapping out of whatever stupor he was in.
At this point the bell rang and we all began to enter the school. I felt my arm being pulled through the crowd as I was spirited away from Ethan. I looked up and found Kayln pulling me through the crowd to get to the classroom faster.
"Kayln!" I said when we entered the room.
"What?" He said nonchalantly taking his seat looking around.
"That was just rude and you know it." I said sitting in my own seat pulling out my folders from my bag.
"Yeah well so is he so whatever." He grumbled as I just chose to ignore it.
"Babe?" I heard and looked up to see Ethan looking dumbfounded.
"Hey, sorry about that I don't know what got into me man." Kayln said putting his hand out for Ethan to shake. "The urge to learn just makes me whisk her to class you know?"
I saw Ethan's eyes narrow but he willingly took Kayln's hand and merely said "Oh, yeah. I know."
"Uhh, boys?" I said waving my hands in both of their faces after a few seconds of then just staring at each other intently.
