Chapter Six:
Tomorrow was the infamous Homecoming. A night that girls wait for every year of their high school lives to come so they can shake their flat buts and try to be something that they aren't. School was all about homecoming with the cheerleaders wearing their uniforms and the football players wearing their jerseys. Most teachers were trying to just show movies and not do any work because really? Who wants to do work on a homecoming Friday? Oh right, Rachel's does.
"So I know all of you would like to just have a free period, but it is still a school day. The learning continues!" Ms. Rachel's yelled as all of the class groans.
Well this sucks ass. Kayln wrote on a notebook paper and placed it on my desk.
I know, why can't she be a cool teacher?
I don't know, has she ever been a cool teacher?
Not that I can remember.
Are you ready for homecoming?
Yes! I am so excited about it. Should be a good dance this year.
Isn't there a theme?
Yeah, it's royalty.
Oh that means sexy reds and royal blue.
Creep. I wrote as he took the paper and put it in his pocket like he usually does.
The day went rather quickly because of homecoming being tomorrow. The pep assembly was huge and everyone was going crazy s Callie led the cheerleaders from routine to routine.
I drove home as I usually did with Kayln constantly changing the music and saying how tired he was. When we came inside I yelled to my mom that we were here and at I was going to change in the bathroom. Kayln flopped onto my bed as he usually did and made himself comfortable as I grabbed some yoga pants and a nice tank top to change into.
I quickly changed into the clothes and threw the ones I had been wearing in my hamper. As I came back into my room I noticed that Kayln had his eyes shut and was drifting off. Had I really been gone that long? I looked at the clock and it had only been a few minutes, guess he didn't get much sleep last night. I took my blankets and covered him up leaving him asleep.
When I came downstairs I told Chris that Kayln needed to rest but he promised that they would throw together tomorrow. At first he was upset since he wanted to throw but the promise of tomorrow perked him right back up again.
"Jordan dear?" My mom said from the other room. "What were you saying about Kayln falling asleep?"
"Kayln followed me upstairs and kind of fell asleep." I said, just as long as she doesn't ask-
"Where did he fall asleep Jordan? A guest room?" She said cutting off my thoughts as she asked the impossible question.
"Well you see mom, we were talking and he kind of, sort of, maybe, followed me into my room." I said as quietly as possible.
"Jordan Kristina Adams! You know that there are no boys allowed in your room without another girl there or a parent!" She said raising her voice.
"I know mom but I mean come-on, it's Kayln! Plus I went into the bathroom to change, making sure I locked the door first of course; but can't you and daddy try and trust me a little?" I begged.
"Jordan, you know the rules! You are going to have to talk to your father about changing them." She said giving me the 'I have no power in my own house' look.
"I'm really sorry mom, he just fell asleep and I didn't want to wake him up."
"I understand Jordan; just make sure you wake him for dinner so your father doesn't throw a fit, ok?"
