The view from the plane was incredible. I could see the clouds, the stars and nothing else which occupied my mind. My family was asleep next to me, my brother peacefully leaning on my shoulder while my mother was asleep in the middle seats not even caring how loud she was snoring. My family, happy.

For once in their lives.

The clouds covered the city beneath us, small breaks show the city lights. Its beautiful, Callie would love thi-.

I never said goodbye.

She'll be ok without me, she knows I was having problems. She can survive. She has her boyfriend, and the cheer team, and Kayln.

Kayln.

I didn't tell him either.

Why would I? I don't owe him anything, we weren't together or anything like it. I'm fine where I stand.

I decide to Snap-chat a couple pictures of my family and the sky to my story. My peaceful brother and I, my mother falling asleep on the guy in the center seat, the clouds that are covering a half hidden moon and finally just the monitor that shows how far we have to go.

I throw my headphones in, put my phone on airplane mode and let the voice of Sam Smith carry me to my own sweet slumber.

When I wake, the plane is grounded and my mother is slowly lifting her head from the man she was sleeping on's shoulder. She meets my gaze and smiles knowing how close we are to freedom. I return her smile and can feel the relief flooding over me.

We are finally free.

The relief flooded through me as I drifted to sleep for the short plane ride. We were only an hour away from Pittsburgh and it was glorious to not sleep in fear of anything.

When we touched the ground I was rustled awake by the noise of the plane. My family members were still completely asleep as the plane came to a halt at the gate. I shook my mom awake gingerly and continued to pick my brother up and just carry him through the airport. Nothing woke him up, he snuggled up into my arms as we walked through the airport to the taxi station.

He was at peace and it was beautiful. My mother had a new light to her that looked as though she could take on the world. We must've looked like some trio, the strong mother, the peaceful boy, and the running girl.

When we arrived at my grandparents they welcomed us with open arms and helped us get everything inside. This was all just temporary but we needed to get away. My brother was put in my grandparents room on a pull out couch, mom took the spare bedroom and I took moms old room.

I take a deep breath and let my body fall onto the dilapidated bed. My eyes search my new surroundings not completely remembering the house.

Mom's room was white like all the walls at home. Posters of 80's teen idols plaster the wall along with pictures of friends and family from the past. Her bed still has its' old covers on it from when she was a teen. I laugh to myself because they still have a small scent of my mom latching onto them. Her furniture was a simple design and had nothing on them; just an empty dresser and a bare desk in the corner without a chair.

I don't know how long we'll be staying here so I start to unpack my clothes into moms' old dresser. All my clothes in the drawers I reach the bottom of my small bag which carries my laptop. I pull it out and place it on moms desk just so I feel like it has a place to belong.

As I move to put some of my shower stuff on the dresser I hear a knock at the door. My grandfather stands there just watching me and I smile at the sight of him.
