"PRACTICE" Remington X Reader

~Remi Pov
"Meow~" Pinky purred as I scratched behind her ear. I was on one of my patrols around the town, until Pinky came up to me. Pinky was a stray, but everyone absolutely loved her. Usually Pinky wouldn't come up to me, but she did this time. I picked up the kitty in my arms as she licked my face. Suddenly I heard giggling. I looked down, to see Dolly and Molly. "Hi Mr. Remington!" Dolly and Molly says waving at me. "Hello girls, no need to be so formal but, how are ya today?" I asked setting Pinky down and bending down to their level. "We are doing great Remington! Django taught us how to sword fight and kick butt!" Dolly said as Molly nodded her head vigorously. I laughed. "But Django will be very busy today and all this week! So he won't be giving us lessons untill then!" Molly said sadly. "But then we had an idea." Dolly says sparkles in her eyes. "What's this idea Dolly?" I asked tilting my head curiously. "Maybe you could teach us! You, Sam, and Arlo! Me, Dolly, Jack, and Toby will be your students!" Molly says. "Awww girls, you know me and the civil corps are always busy, so there isn't any free time we have." I said as Dolly and Molly whined. "Please? I promise to do my homework!" Dolly says. "I promise to help more around town!" Molly says practically begging at this point.

I thought long and hard about this. Dolly really needed to pull up her grades and Molly could really help out around. I sighed out in defeat. "Alright fine, go ahead and get Toby and Jack. Since its Saturday, and you guys don't have school, we can ask Sam and Arlo if they want to join." I replied as the two cheered. As they left, I saw (Name). I felt my heart flutter. It was embarrassing enough that I was in love with (Name). I liked her because she saw the true beauty in everything. She didn't become too quick to judge others or even try to get anyone's attention. I then saw her coming my way. "Hey Remi! How are ya?" She asked smiling. I brushed my thoughts away and smiled. "Fairly well, you?" I asked. She sighed before replying. "I could've been worse, just a little tired." She says. I felt worried for her. She always put others before herself. "Anyway, here is the stuff for the commission." she says pulling out a few iron bars. "Wait, this is more than I needed!" I said as she smiles. "Extra is always better, yeah? Oh! Also here." she motions pulling out a obsidian Edge. "Wait. What? You're giving me this?! It's way too rare! I can't accept this gift! Im not special enough for this!" I spluttered out as she giggled. "You're my best friend. What do you mean not special?" She says sliding the sword behind my back. "Please use use it Remi. Anyway, I better hand out the rest of these gifts out." (name) says. "Wait, what are these gifts for?" I asked making her smile walking into central plaza. "Its my anniversary ever since I moved into Portia. Well, anyway practice with the sword Remi~ bye~" She says walking off.

I stood there dumbfounded. Then I heard Dolly, Molly, Jack, and Toby. "We're ready Remington sir!" Toby says carrying a wooden sword. "Yeah! Let's go!" Dolly says raising her wooden sword. I chuckled at their energy and went on my way. As we got to the civil corps HQ, I saw Arlo punching the dummy and Sam working out. As soon as they felt my presence, Sam stopped and yelled. "Hiya Remi. Hey guys." Sam waves as the kids exclaimed their hellos. Arlo delivered a last hard punch before acknowledging me and the others. Arlo turned to me and the kids breathing hard and sweating. "Hey guys. What brings you here?" Arlo asked as Toby and Dolly ran up to him. "Could you please teach us how to kick butt, pretty please?" Dolly asked with sparkles in her eyes.

Arlo Pov~
Dolly's request caught me off guard. "Yeah, please Arlo? I just wanna be like you!" Toby said with a bright like expression. I glanced at Remington who held his hands up innocently. I couldn't say no. They were literally kids. I sighed. "Fine, but only during my breaks, alright?" I said as all the kids cheered. Suddenly, the doors open to reveal (name). "Hey guys. What are you up to?" She asks walking in. "Nothing much. Just teaching the kids..erm..to fight?" Sam says. "Uh, alright then. I got you guys gifts by the way..." She says taking out a Red Hawk and a Nova sword. She handed Sam the gun, and me the sword. "Wait, we can't accept this! Its rare, its too expensive, its-" Before I could finish, Sam cut me off. "IT'S PERFECT! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!" Sam says hugging (Name). I frowned. I accepted the gift and turned to Remi. "Hey Remington when are we-" I stopped mid sentence noticing him staring at (Name) while she was chatting with Sam. I smirked. I walked up to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. He slightly flinched but then glanced at me. "Uh, do you need something Arlo?" Remington asked as I smirked.

"Ask (name) if she would like to join us. We could use an extra teacher for the kids." I said as he nodded hesitantly.

~REMINGTON POV
I gulped slightly as I walked up to (Name). I gathered myself together and walked up to Sam and (Name). She turned and glanced at me and smiled. "Hey Remi. "What's up?" She asked as Sam smirked and walked away. "I was wondering if you want to practice with me to help the kids out." I said as she smiled. "Sure. I could go up with a little spar." She continued. We gathered in the middle of the room and started to get in position. "Ready when you are." She says as I put my fist into a fighting mode. I ran twoards her was about to land a punch, but instead I tricked her by tripping her by her ankles causing her to fall. As she fell to the ground, I pinned her down against the wooden floor and smirked. "Give up already?' I taunted making her blush. Sam wolf whistled as I looked up at the kids and Arlo. "And that kids is how you win a spar." Sam cheered and Arlo laugh. The kids cheered and was getting ready for more practice. After about a few hours everyone had left except for me and (Name). I gulped as she walked over to me. "I wanna have a rematch." She stated simply. "Youre on." I declared. We got into the center and got ready. Suddenly she ran twoards me and went behind me. My reaction was way too slow, so she landed a punch on my back, causing me to fall. I landed on my stomach and quickly turned over on my back. Before I knew it, (Name) sat on my stomach and pinned me down.

Then, she suddenly did something unexpected. She kissed me. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the soft feeling. She let go and blushed. She leaned foward and whispered in my ear. "I knew you've been liking me for a while Remi. Well I like you too." She said getting off me. I was stunned. I got up and and she stood in front of me. "I-i-" She cut me off. "Oh yeah here." She dug through her pockets and handed me a heart knot. I was still speechless. "Well, I gotta go, but it was fun practicing with you Remi. Maybe you could teach me a few moves." "Sure, Darling" I responded. She waved and left. This was the best day ever.
