"STEPS TO LOVE" Albert X Reader

"Are you sure you really wanna do the more harder diagram? I mean like no pressure or anything." Petra says leaning on the table, arms folded against her chest. "Im positive. Besides, I wanna prove to Higgins I can actually do something better than him. For once." You said smiling. Petra smiled. "Well good luck with that. Im sure you will do better than him." Petra says handing you a small scroll. Inside were parts and diagrams of the vehicle. Taking your leave, you waved Petra goodbye along with Merlin. Leaving the research center feeling proud of accomplishing your task, you walked straight home. As soon as you got there, you went to work straight away.

You sighed as your morning went on. Working hard to prove something that you probably can't prove. The thought made you loose confidence. "No. I will be better than him. I just got to stay focus." You mumbled to yourself. Suddenly, someone came by your gate. Tapping the sides to grab your attention. "Hm?" You turned your head to see Sonia. "Hey girl. Wanna hang?" Sonia asks. You thought for a sec before responding. "I'll love too." You said getting up. "Let me clean up a little. Then we can." You said putting up all your tools in your worktable. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Antoine is coming." Sonia says as she locked your arms together. Sonia was a really close friend to you. "What about Emily?" You asked. "She had to stay and help out her grandmother." Sonia replies. "Oh, ok. Where are we going to hang out then?" You asked. "Well...your house." Sonia smiled. "Wait, what? What about your house?" You asked. "I live an apartment." Sonia giggled.

"Oh right." You said nervously laughing. Sonia smiled. "Well, let's go meet up with Antoine girl! We wouldn't want to keep him waiting!" Sonia exclaimed dragging you with her. As soon as you stepped in to the round table, you accidentally bumped into someone as they were leaving. You gasped and shut your eyes ready to fall on to your butt. You never did. You opened your eyes to see...Albert? "Are you alright?" Albert asked as he was holding your waist when he prevented you from falling. "Uh... Y-yes! A-are you o-ok?" You asked as he brought you up to help steady your body again. "Im fine." he chuckled letting you go. He waved goodbye and left with a smirking Gust also leaving you dumbfounded. Sonia was already sitting with Antoine in the booth as the pair was smirking at you. Walking over to the table, Antoine propped his elbows on the table smiling sheepishly at you. "What a performance, darling." Antoine says as you sat down. Sonia was fangirling at what just happened. "Look, before you jump to your questions, let's just order food. Alright?" You asked. They both nodded. After ordering, Antoine began to say how much he wanted something like that happen between him and Dr. Xu. Sonia began to say how she wanted someone rich like Gust to take her to see the world. "What about you girl? What does your perfect man look like?" Sonia asked finishing her last bite of food. "I don't really have one." You replied eating your dessert. "What?! Everyone has a dream man!" Antoine exclaimed. "Well, I never thought about my love life at all. I just never really thought about dating or marriage." You said paying for the food taking your leave.

"What a shame tho. You are so pretty almost every guy in Portia wants you!" Sonia awed locking your arms with her as you were leaving. "I agree! There isn't one time where I don't hear guys gossip about you darling!" Antoine says locking on to your other arm. You guys decided to walk into the central plaza, where, reluctantly, you were dragged to Carol's store. "Um guys? Where are we going?" You asked as Antoine lead you to Carol behind her counter. "Ready already?" Carol asked smiling at your confused face. "Ready as ever! Now let's glam you up doll!" Antoine says dragging you behind the counter into Carol's store. Sonia sat you down in a seat while Carol rushed behind you shutting the door and locking it. "What is going on?!" you managed to say as Sonia and Carol digged through a closet. "Well, we are giving you a makeover! What else dear?" Antoine asked.

"B-but what for?" you managed to stutter out. "We call this operation steps to love." Sonia says as Carol was carrying a dress over to your direction. Antoine began to undo your hair, (which you always kept up.) Sonia was doing your nails, and Carol was removing ribbons and adding many things to the dress. After about thirty minutes or so, you're makeover was all done. "Wow. I've never seen anyone so beautiful." Carol says smiling. "Now you're looking like a babe!" Sonia says handing you a mirror. "Woah..." you said holding the mirror amazed. At the end of your hair was big curls, you're face was decorated in light make up, and you were wearing a light yellow sunflower dress. "Step 1. Look hot." Sonia smirked. "Step 2, go out and impress." Antoine says. "You kids better get going to do step 2 then." Carol chuckled. "Alright, goodbye Carol, and thank you!" Says Sonia pushing you out. As soon as you stepped outside, you felt exposed. "Don't you think this dress is too revealing?" You asked trying to tug your dress sleeve up. "Step 3 act confident." Sonia says.

"Of course not! That's where the sexy part comes in." Antoine says walking through town. As you walked on, you saw Mint looking flustered at you. You then turned to saw Gust mouth open a bit. "It's working! Now let's see which one of these guys will ask you out!" Sonia squealed. You then walked into the middle of the central Plaza where you took a seat under the wishing tree. "How long are we gonna do this? Operation steps to love is hard." You whined. "Untill we can get you a man!" Antoine says. You crossed your legs and look around. You then saw Arlo and Remington with widened eyes. You blushed. "We will be right back darling." Antoine says suddenly looking happy "Don't go anywhere." Sonia said running off. "Wait..!" you said. But eventually you gave up. "My feet are killing me!" you called out. Nothing. You looked at the pinkish orangish sky. The sun was about to set soon. As you stood up, you were about to fall due to the pain in your feet. You fell backwards to suddenly feel a strong arm catch you by the waist. "You might wanna watch again." Chuckled Albert. "A-albert! Omigosh Im so sorry-" You said suddenly getting up before falling onto the bench. "Albert was gonna catch you before eventually almost tripping onto the bench on you. Fortunately, he was able to catch himself by grabbing the bench top beside your head with each hand in the side of your head. His face was so close to yours, you could feel his hot heavy breaths on your lips. "Oh gosh, Im sorry. What was I doing-" Albert flustered quickly getting off. He was almost as red as an potato fruit. You began to laugh. "What's so funny?" "I dunno, maybe the fact that this happened twice today." You smiled. "Albert sighed smiling as well. The sky was a dark blue color when you looked up. "Its beautiful isn't it?" you asked glancing at the starry night sky. The shops around you began to close leaving you and Albert alone. Albert looked at you as you were looking at the night sky. He smiled softly. "Yes it is." he said looking at you.

"Well, I should get going." you said before remembering that it was hard to walk. As you stood up your legs began to wobble a bit. "Let me take you. You will only make your feet take longer to heal." Albert said getting up. "No, no, it's fine-" You managed to say before you felt an arm under your legs and another one supporting your back. Albert lifted you up. "W-wait, I can walk-" "Just please let me take you. Its the least I could do." you nodded. As he finally walked to your home, Albert gently placed you down. "Um, thank you." you smiled at him. He nodded returning back the smile. As you were about to walk back in, Albert voice rang out. "Wait, I need to tell you something." Albert says. "Hm?" You asked turning to him. He dug in his pockets and pulled out a...heart knot. "W-wait..you like me?" You asked blushing hard. "Yes..ever since we met." Albert said blushing. You smiled and jumped onto Albert. He caught you as you placed a kiss on his lips. He was shocked but kissed back. Sonia and Antoine peeked from behind the tree. "Looks like operation steps to love was a success."
