Jon POV

Daenerys and I landed our dragons south of the dragonglass wall. We kept debating to ourselves on whether we should've continued attacking the Night King or not. It wasn't too late, but if we decided to go along with it, we needed to act fast. A figure emerged from behind: tthe Red Woman. Daenerys dismounted Drogon and approached the Red Priestess.

Daenerys- Lady Melisandre.

Melisandre- Your grace.

Daenerys- What happened?

I dismounted Rhaegal.

Melisandre- The Night King and his army have been held back, temporarily.

I walked towards the two.

Jon- This wall...it's as tall as the original.

Melisandre- And just as long. Still, it won't hold back the Night King for long.

Daenerys and I looked at each other.

Melisandre- We have to find refuge further south, before the magic runs out.

Jon- How long will it take?

Melisandre- A couple of weeks, more or less. Regardless of the time, we need to leave as soon as possible.

The sound of Viserion was slightly heard over the wall, along with the subtle cracking of the black wall. Daenerys and I shared a terrified look; we needed to leave.

Daenerys POV

We led our dragons to the rest of the army. We were miles away from Winterfell and the black wall. The two dragons stood by each other as Jon, Melisandre and I mounted off. We faced the army atop a boulder. The crowd was mixed with Dothraki, Unsullied, and Northern Men. In the front lines, were some familiar faces. Jon's sister; Jorah; Ser Jaime. I stepped forward.

Daenerys- We have all fought our best, but we're losing the Great War...for now.

I swept my eyes across the crowd.

Daenerys- I command all forces to retreat to Dragonstone! The North is no longer safe, not even with the black wall.

Many curiously looked back at the gigantic wall to the distance. Everyone in the crowd was either confused, terrified or somewhat concerned. Who could blame them?

Daenerys- White Harbor shouldn't be too far away. From there, Jon and I will lead you to Dragonstone.

I glanced to my right to find Jon standing by my side.

Daenerys- There you will be sheltered and fed.

Davos- Your grace.

Jon's advisor stepped forward.

Daenerys- Ser Davos.

Davos- Anyone left north of the black wall might be too late to save...but there are still many living in The North.

Jon- He's right.

I turned to Jon.

Jon- There are many we need to save before the Night King can get to them.

I turned back to the crowd.

Jon- With your permission, I'll go to every remaining northern keep and convince them to retreat.

My eyes were focused on the black wall. If my assumptions were correct, it split The North in half. Jon would only have to get to several houses, not all of them.
