》Jaime POV

After The Mountain knocked me unconscious, I thought I would never open my eyes again. But I did...though I didn't realize at first. There was a torch ahead of me, not that it helped. The cell I was thrown into was still very dark, and quiet. Perhaps I was the only one in the entire dungeon. I doubted that Cersei took prisoners anymore.

I tried to free myself out as soon as I could clearly think. My left arm was the only one chained to the wall, so there wasn't much I could do. The sound of the chain clashing against the wall muted every other sound.

Bronn- I fucking knew you were down here.

I quickly turned around to see a man to the other side of the bars.

Jaime- Bronn?

He held a torch of his own with his left hand; a crossbow with the other.

Bronn- I have been waiting in this shit city ever since you decided to go up north and fight off dead men.

Jaime- What did you expect me to do? I-

Bronn- I'm not finished. I was without a captain, but more importantly, without my money. I know fighting for the Starks was important for you, with all your damn honors and oaths, but it was uncalled for.

I waited until he was finished, yet still had nothing to say. I never thought my ride to Winterfell had any other effect to the Lannister army; I still don't.

Jaime- Forgive me for valuing life.

Bronn scoffed and crouched forward.

Bronn- Value life...is that why you're here? I was there when you grew too weak to kill your sister. Only a fool would come back to something like that.

Jaime- You were there?

Bronn- Aye I was. What do you think I'd been doing ever since you left? I've been hiding in the shadows ever since she armed me with this.

He motioned his head to the crossbow below. I looked at it, but to my surprise, it wasn't loaded.

Bronn- You know she ordered me to kill you? You and your shit of a brother.

Jaime- Tyrion has done nothing wrong, why are you-

Bronn- You and him are a pair of gold-plated cunts that have done plenty wrong. I've saved both of your lives countless amounts of times and I still haven't gotten my fucking castle.

Bronn's words found a way to shut me up. I looked down at my hands. My golden hand was a reminder of my failures; Bronn even more so.

Bronn- At least your sister offered me a castle's weight in gold. What do you offer?

Jaime- Your life.

Bronn- You're an old man with one hand, chained and put behind bars. Your sister on the other hand...

I tried to approach Bronn, practically laying on the floor beside him.

Jaime- Cersei won't make it out of this war alive. If she dies and you sided with her, I can only be so certain of your fate...but if you free me, you can have as many castles as you'd like; as much gold as you deserve...

Bronn looked at me blankly, seeming unconvinced. A small and sly smile soon appeared on his face.

Bronn- You want to know the worst thing about you Lannisters? You're all shit liars. You always promise the world, and more, to whoever can fix all your pathetic problems, no?
