Davos POV

I was minding my business in my chambers when I heard a knock.

Davos- Come in.

I heard the door open. It was cold, so I decided to stay near my fire.

Melisandre- Ser Davos.

I closed my eyes and sighed. I didn't bother to turn my head; her voice was familiar enough.

Davos- What do you need?

Melisandre- A moment of your time.

I didn't respond. She slowly made her way to the fire, sitting near it but across from me. The room remained pretty quite for a while.

Melisandre- I came to offer an apology.

An apology? I nearly laughed. After all that's happened, I was in no mood to do anything, so I remained calm.

Davos- Don't you think it's too late for that?

Melisandre- Of course...I still am though.

I kept my eyes at the fire.

Melisandre- I thought he was the one...I thought he would be the one to bring The Dawn...but I was wrong.

I knew where she was going with this, yet tried hard not to respond.

Melisandre- Everything I did...no matter how horrible, was neccessary for-

Davos- Necessary!

I swiftly turned my head to her. She reluctantly replied.

Melisandre- It wasn't right...I know that now. But sacrifices are to be made if we are to win this war.

Davos- Whose then? If not Stannis...who does your "Lord" claim will bring The Dawn.

Melisandre- I can only be so sure...if I'm right, I cannot risk anyone knowing...it might change the plan.

Davos- Enough with your plans...they've never worked.

Melisandre- I brought a hundred Priests and Priestesses to Winterfell from the Red Temple...without them, the Night King wouldn't have a wall holding him back.

Davos- Aye, congrats on that.

The room returned to silence. We both looked back to the fire. It seemed to sense the tension and grow, or maybe that was just my head messing with me.

Davos- Thought you would've died that night.

Melisandre- I did too...but The Lord had other ideas for me. A better purpose.

I snickered quietly.

Melisandre- I won't be of use here...or the capital.

Davos- Where then?

Melisandre- East. If I'm right about this prophecy, I'll be more useful there.

Davos- The further away you are, the better.

Melisandre- I wish you good fortune.

Davos- No need.

The Red Woman got up.

Melisandre- Continue staring into the fire Ser Davos...see what future the fires may give you.

I looked at the Red Woman, confused.

Melisandre- You and many others will need as much as good fortune can give you.

She slightly nodded her head and walked out the room. I slowly turned my head to the fire and stared deep into it. At first I couldn't make more than just orange flame, but soon I saw something...
