The House of Horrors

Part 3

Danny and Carter were running on the path back to the cabin and didn't see Stella anywhere. Danny was running for the first time in a long time not even tired because he had so much adrenaline pumping in his body.

Carter was behind him searching the woods with his eyes seeing something in the distance. "Danny, look! Isn't that her?" Carter shouted making Danny look in the direction of a long brown haired girl running the opposite direction.

"Yea, it's gotta be." Danny said chasing the girl. "Stella wait!"

The girl kept running almost like she was leading Danny and Carter somewhere. Stella ran into a cavern and Danny thought it was weird because Stella hates dark places especially when she's alone.

"Stella?!" Danny called out again. No response.

"What is she doing?" Carter asked the shorter boy standing beside him.

"I have no clue, but let's go." Danny replied while Carter grabbed his phone for his flashlight. They both followed Stella into the cave and were surrounded by darkness.

"Logan, I hate this. It's creepy out her with only us two." Bella said talking about the forest. Logan smiled at her and took her hand in his.

"You have me to protect you." said Logan.

"Yippee, that's great, I'm so much better now." Bella replied with sarcasm. They continued on the path to the lake.

Back at the cabin, Rebecca woke up and headed downstairs still drowsy from the long sleep she had. When she turned the corner in living room, she screamed seeing a bunch of bugs all over the floor and furniture. She ran back into the room jumping on the bed waking Drake up, asking, "What's wrong, Bec?!" He sat up quickly with her not saying anything just pulling him towards the living room. Rebecca was staring at Drake as they walked into the room making sure not to look at all the bugs. "Do see all the bugs?" She said terrified.

"Nope, we are the only two in this room." Drake stated making Rebecca turn to see it for herself.

There was no bugs in sight, it's like they all vanished into thin air. She held onto Drake. "They were right here, you have to believe me." Rebecca pleaded for Drake to believe her.

"I do, I do." Drake said not sure if he did believe her or not or if this was one of Rebecca's ways of getting attention. He kissed her head trying make her feel better.

Danny was still leading Carter through the cave, but Carter was holding the light. "Stella!" Danny called out again.

"Is she hiding from us or something because this is getting weird, this cave is massive. We've been in her for awhile." Carter said not sure about this anymore.

Danny turned back to look at the tall guy and said, "If Stella was going to pop out and scare us, she would have already, I think this thing we followed isn't Stella." Just as the two boys turned a corner, they emerged into a room full of candles that looked like they were just lit because there was barely any smoke. The room had a weird circle thing in the center with a book in the middle of that circle.

"Now I have a really bad feeling about this." Carter told Danny. Danny quickly grabbed his camera and took pictures of the cavern. Danny slowly crept up to the book and picked up dusting it off because it was covered in dirt and dust. He read the title, "Forest of Death. Oh that's great." He turned to see Carter's facial expression. It was mortified.

Danny opened the first page and started to read it. He looked up and then started to look around then finally land his eyes on Carter.

"We need to go, now, like get out of this forest. We came on the worst possible weekend." He pointed at the book for Carter to read. "On the full moon, spirits of passed hikers and cabin owners come out on the one night of the year so they can to pay their respects to the demon, Everigo. He is a powerful demon who can take any form he chooses." read Carter.

"No, no, no, I don't mess with spirits." Carter said turning around to face a girl who had brown hair covering her face. He tapped Danny's shoulder to turn towards the girl, he did. The girl slowly moved her hands up to her face moving the hair out of her face making Danny and Carter open their eyes wide and Danny said, "Oh shit."

The face was beaten and bruised barely able to tell it was a girl or human for that matter. The girl's mouth slowly began to form into a smirk making Danny and Carter back up, then the girl yelled, "Get out! Get out! Get out!" As she ran at the pair of guys making Danny fall to the ground and Carter to stumble back both saying different things, Carter kept saying, "Danny, Danny, Danny," while Danny said, "Oh hell no!"

Once they both looked back in the girl's direction after turning away hiding their faces from her, she was gone.

"We need to find Stella and get back to the cabin to leave this demonic place." Danny said as he got his composure back.

Hayden was diving deep under the water while Kayla was sitting in the shallower part. Kayla was watching Hayden closely taking in the view of the guy she has had a crush for the longest time. When Hayden popped back up, Kayla smiled at him making Hayden smile back.

Kayla heard some rustling behind her and she quickly backed further into the lake. "What's wrong?!" Hayden called out to her as he swam towards the redhead. Kayla was about to say something, but Logan and Bella emerged through the trees.

"Oh thank god, it's just your brother and Bella." Kayla said as Hayden got to her side.

"Don't scare us like that, Logan!" shouted Hayden for Kayla. Logan just jumped in after he took off his shirt followed by Bella jumping in.

"Sorry Kayla, didn't think that would scare you." Logan shouted back.

Rebecca was kneeing on the ground bobbing her head up and down with Drake's male part, but it wasn't getting hard. She was getting tired of doing it so she pulled away and glared at Drake.

"What's happening? This is usually not an issue." Rebecca stated standing up. Drake pulled up his black boxer briefs followed by his ripped jeans.

"I don't know, maybe I'm just tired or something." Drake lied knowing exactly what was the matter.

"Mhm." Rebecca walked off to the bathroom to shower. Drake looked around not sure where anyone else was. He wanted to apologize to Danny, but he had no idea where he was.

Just as he was standing up, his phone started to ring which was weird since he didn't have much service. He answered and said, "Hello."

"Oh my baby boy, I have been told terrible things about you. Have you been fucking that boy, your friend?" It was Drake's mother. His mom started to sob.

"Mama, who did you hear that from? I'm...not...mama...please stop crying." pleaded Drake. His mother stopped crying and then the phone went silent. Then Drake pulls the phone away from his ear realizing that his phone had never actually rang and he was hearing things. So how was his mother just talking to him?

A couple hours later-12. P.M.

Stella woke up still in the tent and looked around. When she saw the old lady still dead, she quickly got to her feet still in so much pain leaving the tent and trying to find the path back to the cabin. She was limping a lot while walking.

She heard something coming fast behind her so she looked back and saw nothing, but still heard footsteps chasing her.

"Why me?!" She shouted as she picked up pace in a running speed, but still a lot slower than usual. She ran passed tall trees that were covered in leaves that barely let sun shine through. There was a bunch of sticks and rocks. Stella kept stumbling over logs, sticks, and rocks that were scattered around the forest.

When she saw a big tall stump, she hid behind it holding her hand over her mouth making sure to stop breathing heavily.

When the footsteps started to walk away from Stella, she stayed by the stump for a few minutes getting her strength back trying not have a mental breakdown. "Danny. Where are you?" She mumbled to herself terrified of standing up.
