"Sweetie, vampires aren't real. They are made up, fake creatures, used to scare little children like you. They are merely just a myth. So you won't need to worry about monsters like them."

"Really? They really don't exist?"

"Of course they don't."

"B-But Victor said that they do exist."

"Nevermind what that boy says, and even if they did exist. I promise to always keep you safe"

"Really?..."

"Yes, I will always be here with you."

Tuesday, October 6th. 7:13am.

"Hey! Wake up! You're going to be late!" Brother Victor called from your bedroom door.

You whined as you pulled the comforter over your head, wanting to hide from the long day you had ahead of you. As much as you enjoyed meeting new people from time-to-time. You also hated being the new student, the student that people would judge immediately.

So the first impression would definitely matter in times like this, but you dreaded the thought of having to drag your tired and exhausted state out of bed and get all the way to a new school.

Where you literally didn't know anyone there, since your mother thought it would be a good idea to move to a whole new town for a "brand new start" she always says.

"Can I just like... not go to school today?" You mumbled from under the covers. From your bedroom door you could hear your brother sigh as he walked over to where you were huddled up in your cozy comforter, and gave the top of your head a hard slap.

"Ouch, what was that for??" You say grumbling. You shoved the blankets away from yourself and sat up, glaring at Victor, rubbing the top of your head harshly.

"Just to wake your lazy bum up before you're late." He says rolling his eyes as he left your bedroom, leaving the the door to your bedroom cracked open to annoy you. You sighed "You could at least shut the door!" You dramatically dragged yourself out of bed and walked over to your bathroom. Which already had your uniform hung up in there.

You stared at it for a while before reaching for it and getting changed out of your pajamas, folding them neatly and setting them on the end of your bed.

Your uniform was very formal and casual at the same time, it was definitely nicer that what you'd ever worn before. You wore a light gray pleated skirt, matched with a white long-sleeved button up, navy blue and white tie, and a black blazer. The outfit was rather comfortable. Twirling in the mirror as you admired the look. "At least the uniform looks nice."

Almost forgetting, you rushed to your dresser and pulled out basic crew socks. Sliding them onto your feet and nodded to yourself.

Perfect.

You rushed through doing your hair, just tying it up into a simple ponytail. Not doing anything fancy for your first day.

After spending nearly 20 minutes on just getting ready, you had to rush downstairs. In the kitchen you greeted your Mother and Father, planting a kiss on bother of their cheeks. "Morning guys." You say through a yawn, reaching for a pancake and taking a large bite out of it.
