day seventeen

"Demons, such vile creatures, they roam the earth. Along with the vampires, these creatures will manipulate, play games with your mind. They aren't something to take lightly. As they will use you for whatever purpose, whatever plan they have laid out. You must never trust a demon, must you come across one."

They walk with such power, they present themselves with such elegance, and grace. Like they knew what everyone was thinking, such creatures controlled the minds of the students, making them think that they were just ordinary vampires like the rest.

Disguised themselves, the scent, the way the looked and dressed. 

It was so convincing, no one could tell. Even the strongest among the vampires were fooled. These beings were superior, above all immortal beings.

But that wasn't the only lie they've told, how could such wicked, sinful, and immortal beings put themselves on display as if they're some type of kings. Like they should be worshiped upon. Something which you'd never thought one would ever do.

While they're such vile and diabolical beings, they also seem like angels. Funny how demons act and seem like angels, but aren't. How they seem so harmless, just your typical crazy-handsome-popular-transfer-students. But aren't, they could snap your neck at any moment.

Could ruin your life in just a handful of moves, but they didn't.

They had their motives, their goals, something they much achieve. 

You've yet to figure out what this must be, you were just as easily fooled by them as everyone else in the school. While you were the only human, it only meant that you were the most vulnerable to their mind tricks and powers over everyone. 

Though both vampires and demons were on the same boat with how evil the creatures are, but, the two 'races' (I guess you can say???sdhkf) didn't get alone very well.

The two have a long history of wars and battles, but in each one. Demons had always won, seen as they were more powerful than vampires. But that didn't stop them from fighting, trying to grow stronger. Working on their abilities to fight the demons off, to finally win against the,.

But nothing would ever be enough, to defeat a demonic creature.

Sunday morning, the next day was monday. Meaning another day at school, another day around the new transfer students. 

You rubbed your face with your hands, wishing that you hadn't stayed up so late binge-watching stupid and random youtube videos that popped up in your recommended strangely.

The things youtube recommends sometimes is just sometimes...odd

The sound of your toaster dinging filled the silence of the lower floor, you already had your usual breakfast prepared. Small cup of fruit and quick toast, enough for you to last until lunch. Which you hadn't really thought of what you were going to do the rest of the day, maybe binge-watch more videos? Go to a cafe and read? 

Shrugging to yourself since you had nothing to do today, and your brother was out on some weird business trip that he had. But you paid no attention to the details, since what he did wasn't that interesting.

You were in the middle of eating your toast when you heard your phone buzz on the counter top, your phone lighting up with a notification showing that Hyunjin had texted you.

[Hyunjin] Good morning <3

You smiled widely as you read his message and quickly picked up your phone so you could respond. Then paused.

"What if I texted back too fast? What if he thinks i'm being a creep? He'll probably think that I'm just staring at my phone, waiting for him to text me."

I shall wait a good 5 minutes"

You say to yourself and gave a sharp nod and placed you phone back down on the counter, shoving various berries into your mouth and stared at your phone.

"But.. what if he thinks that I abandoned him??" You sigh and picked it up once again, your phone showing that you had received the message 3 minutes ago.

You quickly responded, unable to wait for an entire 5 minutes.

[You] Morningg~

[Hyunjin] Did you sleep well?

[You] Yeah, well sorta. I stayed up too late watching stupid youtube videos.

[Hyunjin] fhdsjhf Those videos are addicting though-

[You] Yeah yeah true.

[Hyunjin] So... there's something I need to talk to you about.

[Hyunjin] And not ove rthe phone, like in person.

[You] okay.. is everything okay?

[Hyunjin] Yeah, I guess. I just need to tell you this.

{You] Okay, do you want to come over later then?

[Hyunjin] Would 11:15am be okay?

[You] Yeah perfect <3

[Hyunjin] Okay, I'll see you then. I love you <3

[You] Love you too :))

You set your phone back down on the counter, and crossed your arms. Wondering what he needed to talk to you about so badly. He seemed okay, maybe it's just something exciting?

Shrugging your arms and finished off the last bit of your food, placing your plate in the sink, rising it with hot water.

Once you'd finished cleaning up your dishes and counter top, you made your way over to the living room, it would be less than an hour until Hyunjin comes over. Stretching yourself out on the couch, making yourself comfortable as you scrolled through the apps on your phone and clicked on TikTok. Now, you'll be stuck on this app for the entire hour you had left until he arrived.

[11:10am]

Time really flew by didn't it? Especially when you watch tiktoks non-stop. Yawning to yourself, you look at the time and see that hyunjin should be here in just about 5 minutes, maybe a little bit earlier.

Like he had heard your thoughts, there was a very subtle knock at the door. But since the house was practically empty, you had just heard it. Jumping up from your laying position, all the blood rushed to your feet, you balanced yourself for a moment before continuing to the door, opening it to see and all-too familiar face.

You smiled and hugged Hyunjin tightly, "Come on in." You say and moved out of his way so he could enter your home. He took off his shoes and then reach for your hand, leading you to your living room, seating you down right where you were before.

"What is it you wanted to tell me?" You asked him, holding his hand in yours.

"Look... Soojin... You know the new transfer students right?" You nodded slowly to his question as a response. "Well Chan had been looking into them to find out more about their family, and it turns out that.. they aren't vampires." He says to you, explaining very slowly and thoroughly.

"What do you mean? So does that mean they're humans like me?" You asked, having a little bit of hope that you finally not be the only human. He took a deep breath before continuing, "No.. they're.. well.."

"They're Demons."
