chapter 8: Merle, where are you?

Me and Merle where cutting up the beds, I don't know why but it was fun, then Rick came in. "Just looking for a little vacation.Best dope I ever had was in a mattress." Merle said "Nothing." He said under his breath "This place must have been no fun at all." "We need your help.Do you even know why you do the things you do?The choices you make?" Rick asked "well I have AD/HD which makes it hard for me to focus and do what ever I feel is fun." I said "hey (y/n) I think Carl and the others need some help at the gates. Can you go help them?" "Yes I can! See ya bob the builder." I said laughing and left. Daryl, Michonne, and Glen where putting barbed wire around the perimeter as traps while Maggie, Carl, and me were luring walkers away from them. "Hey! Come on! Over here!Hey! Come on! Over here!" "Hey! Right here!Over here!Come on!" "Here! Here!Come on!Come on, let's go." "They try to drive up to the gate again, maybe some blown tires will stop them." "That's a good idea." "It was Michonne's." "We don't have to win.We just have to make their getting at us more trouble than it's worth."

Time skip~

"Shhhh. Hush now it's ok." Carol said trying to rock Judith to sleep "hey can I try something?" I asked "Sure" she handed me Judith and I rocked her gently

"You have an awesome voice(but nothing's more awesome than Prussia)" someone said I looked behind me and saw Carl "really? I don't think it's that great." "Where did you hear that song?" "Sharkboy and lavagirl" "Sofia used to love that movie" Carol said "what?" Carl asked "Wait so you've never seen sharkboy and lavagirl?" "No why? What's it about?" I told him (if you don't know what that movie is than screw you).

"Hey Daryl have you seen Merle anywhere I can't find him?" I asked "nah I don't but I'm gonna go look for him." "Can I come?" "Uh, I think you should stay here." "Why? You know I'm tough, smart, and a damb well good shot! why won't you let me come?!" "Because I don't need something bad happening to you again" I looked at him and he had a serious look on his face with tears that only I could see. "Promise you'll bring him back?" He gave me a nod and left.

Rick called everyone for a group meeting (or family meeting) "When I met with the Governor, he offered me a deal.He said- he said he would leave us alone if I gave him Michonne.And I was gonna do that... to keep us safe.I changed my mind.But now Merle took Michonne to fulfill the deal and Daryl went to stop him and I don't know if it's too late.I was wrong not to tell you.And I'm sorry.What I said last year,that first nightafter the farm... it can't be like that.It can't.What we do,what we're willing to do,who we are, it's not my call.It can't be.I couldn't sacrifice one of us for the greater good because we are the greater good.We're the reasonwe're still here,not me.This is life and death.How you live... how you die it isn't up to me.I'm not your Governor.We choose to go.We choose to stay.We stick together.We vote.We can stay and we can fight or we can go."

After a while michonne came to the prison "where are they?" I asked her "Merle let me go, I ran into Daryl after" I got sad Carl came and rubbed his hand on my back to calm me down "(y/n)? Are you-" " I'm fine!" I yelled running to my cell a little while later Daryl came in my cell "your back!" I gave him a big hug "where's Merle?" "He looked at me his eyes where red like he'd been crying "we need to talk"

After hearing what happened to Merle I cried Daryl pulled me in to a hug "no no no how... How could this happen?" I asked "I don't know some times bad things happen to good people." I sat up "Merle wasn't good people but he wasn't bad people neither he was a Dixon just like you, just like me. He was unique." I said Daryl smiled at me, kissed my forehead, and left the cell.
