chapter 14: new home?

"Carl, slow down. Carl, stop! We need to stay together. We got to find a place with food, supplies." Rick said we've been walking for a few hours now. Carl was mad at Rick of course I knew why, but I also don't, he was mad because Rick wasn't the best leader(and it's funny because Carl told him to stop being the leader in season 3 and now he's mad about him not being a leader #chooseoneCarl!)we got to what looked like an old bar "Wait outside, okay? Keep watch." Rick said "You keep watch. You can barely stand. I'm not gonna let you go in there alone." Carl replied "Excuse me?" "We've done this before. I'm gonna help you clear it. You should just let me do it myself." "How about I take watch." I said Carl put hand on my shoulder and had a worried look on his face "I'll be fine I promise." Carl looked at Rick and he nodded "Let's go." A little while later I heard a gunshot and then heard the guys yelling at each other "no need to get in the middle of that." I thought out loud they got out and we continued walking we got to a house "Hey. Hey. Hey. That one's as good as any."Rick said we went in and searched for walkers "Carl." "I got it. All the doors down here are open." "Just stop!" Carl started to pound wall and scream "Hey, asshole! Hey, shitface! - Hey-" 'oh boy here we go.' I rolled my eyes "Watch your mouth!" "Are you kidding me? If there's one of them down there, they would have come out." Carl and me went upstairs and saw a room of heaven, you know if we had power, there where all sorts of games Carl through some to the ground and grabbed the t.v. cords. I laid down on the bed and soon fell asleep.

(Carl's pov)

Dad was getting the couch over by the door "I tied the door shut." I said "We don't need to take any chances." "You don't think it'll hold?" "Carl." "It's a strong knot. Clove hitch. Shane taught me. Remember him?" "Yeah, I remember him. I remember him every day. There something else you want to say to me?" "This'll have to do for the night. You gonna have some? You should eat." "We should save it." "Hey." "I don't want any." "Eat it. Now."

I woke up and didn't see Carl around so I went downstairs and saw a bowl of frosted flakes on the counter 'yay!' I then heard a noise and hid luckily I was able to fit in behind the couch Carl came in "I killed three walkers. They were at the door. They were gonna get in, but I lured them away. I killed them. I saved you. I saved you. I didn't forget while you had us playing farmer. I still know how to survive. Lucky for us. I don't need you anymore. I don't need you to protect me anymore. I can take care of myself. You probably can't even protect me anyways. You couldn't protect Judith. You couldn't protect  Hershel or Glenn or Maggie. Michonne, Daryl, or Mom. You just wanted to plant vegetables. You just wanted to hide. He knew where we were and you didn't care! You just hid behind those fences and waited for They're all gone now. Because of you! They counted on you! You were their leader! But now you're nothing." "I'd be fine if you died." I popped my head out and followed him. He went down the street to a house and tried to pick a light from the walkway he was struggling so I got behind him and groaned like a walker. He twirled around real quick and put the gun in my face "oh shit!" He said noticing it was me and fell to the ground "don't do that! I could have shot you!" I rolled my eyes "I bet you couldn't shoot me even in walker form." I joked I helped him up and we got to the front porch he tried to get the door open by ramming into it and failed(epicly)he fell on the ground "Damn it." He said he got it opened 'crowbar' style. "(Y/n) I want you to stay on watch so you don't get hurt okay?" "Sure" I said and he went in. A little while later he came back out and pulled me in he covered my eyes "Carl what are you doing?" I asked laughing "you'll see" he finally lets go and I see that were on the roof of the house and Carl had something behind him "okay close your eyes and open wide." He said I did and got a chocolatey taste in my mouth "what the-" Carl pulled it from behind him to revel chocolate pudding! "Oh my god! You found this?!" He nodded and we shared it I was curled in his chest and we ate the pudding.(great! Now I want some DX) We got back to the house and I went up to the bed from the night before and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up with a sticky note on my forehead "what the?" I read it (y/n),

"Okay then." I said to my self I then heard voices. voices I haven't heard before. Hearing someone come upstairs I hid under the bed. The door came open 'please please please! Don't see me' I prayed the person left and a little while later another person came in but I recognized the shoes they had on. I pulled myself out just a little and recognized the pants 'is that Rick?' I slowly crawled out and saw him. I got his attention and heard someone else come in I quickly slid back under the bed. It sounded like they were throwing a ball at the wall, when they left Rick signalled for me to come out I did and he tried to get into the room he was napping in but a voice went throughout the house and we hid in the bathroom but a guy was in there Rick  choked him and led me out the window we got on the roof and went to the back porch Rick jumped down "come on I'll catch you." He said to me I climbed down and let go, he caught me and we ran across the yard there was a man on the front porch but once the gunshots started and guys were screaming he went inside to help. We ran into Carl and Michonne and we left.
Meanwhile-

(Carl's pov)

Michonne found us and I went on a run with her but left a note so (y/n) wouldn't worry to much. We left and we got to a house once inside Michonne said "We need food, batteries, water, in that order." Michonne said "Why didn't you ever tell me you had a kid? What was his name? Did you have any others? Were you married?" I asked "Okay. I'll answer one question at a time, one room at a time, and only after we've cleared it." "What was your son's name?" "I said after." "Well, these are actually two separate rooms and we already cleared that one, so..." "Andre. His name was Andre Anthony. Make sure there isn't a box of cookies hiding in there." "Did you have any other kids?" "Rules of the game, my friend." "So? Did you?" I asked when I found some candy "You know, you could be a spy. Or a cop." She said "No. One was enough for me. And Andre was a handful, like you." "Does this hallway count as a room?" I asked "If you can find something we can use." "This is the only thing I could find. Does it count?" I asked giving her a big picture frame that was covered in bubble wrap "Technically, yes." "So? How long has it been?" "It happened after- you know, after everything happened." "Does my dad know?" "Never told him. Never told anyone till just now." "Your secret is safe with me." "It's not really a secret." "It's still safe with me." I walked away and heard a noise "Michonne? Everything okay?" I asked "Yeah, it's fine." She answered "There's a baby in there." "It's a dog." "My dad let me name her. Maybe- maybe her and Andre are together somewhere." "Come on. It's almost noon. Your dad will wonder where we are if we're late." On our way out I saw a little teddy bear on the bathroom counter and took it.
