Author's note: Apparently I made a mistake and changed Shandra's name from the first book. It was originally Leslie so I'll go back and change it back. So don't be confused. Sorry for the mistake.

I was not feeling it today. After that fight with Zy I decided to go back home. It's Monday and I haven't talked to him since that Saturday night. I've only talked to Cadie when she calls and misses me. Zy has tried texting and calling but I ignore them. I'm not in the mood for him right now. I guess my suspicions were right. Maybe he's not completely over Leslie.

I sighed and shook my head. Today was not the day for me to be thinking about that. I have a meeting with HR and then immediately after the hire ups. I have to go to HR to speak about the drama going on between Jayden and I then the hire ups about why I need a new team. It would've been different if I was just trying to replace one or two people but since it's literally everybody, we need to have a discussion on what's going on. As I was walking out the house my phone rang. I looked at the number in confusion.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Mo is this you?"

"Uh...yeah? Who's this?"

"Oh thank god this is the right number," she sighed. "It's Nevaeh, Zy's sister."

"Oh hey," I said. "I don't remember giving you my number?"

"You didn't. I had to beg Zy to give it to me. He was in a mood so at first I thought he gave me a fake one. How are you? Is everything okay?"

"Could be better," I shrugged heading for my car. "Sorry about Saturday. Zy has a temper and we weren't expecting her."

"It's okay. I get it. No wonder he never tried getting Zy to come around before. I'm sorry that happened to you guys. I can't believe she just left him like that."

"Yeah," I said. "Their past is...complicated."

"I see. I just wanted to let you know we had no idea. I knew I didn't like that bitch for a reason."

"It's okay. I doubt Zy is upset with you guys. I just can't believe Braxton would do that to him."

"I would," she muttered.

"What do you mean by that?"

"It's a lot. You mind meeting me so we can talk?"

"Sure. But I have two important meetings to go to. I'll probably be free around one or two o'clock if that's fine with you."

"Yeah that's fine. I extended my stay for a couple of days so I could get to know Zy a little better. Zahir and Heather already left though."

"Okay. I feel bad they didn't get to spend that much time with Zy. I would like to fly them back out here so we can try again."

"That sounds like a good idea. We can talk about that when we meet up. See you later."

"Bye." I smiled a bit even though I was feeling like a nervous wreck. I liked Nevaeh. She seems like a nice person and I'm sure we'd become good friends. I glanced over and saw Jayden leaving his house as well. His pasty white mama was at the door waving him off. When she saw me, she glared and walked back in the house. "Don't get mad at me because your son is crazy," I muttered getting into my car.

The drive to work was excruciating. Traffic was bad, like normal, making it impossible to distract myself. My mind kept racing on a hundred different things at once. My work life, personal life, everything was crumbling up into shambles. I just needed a break from all this unnecessary drama. I pulled into work and got out. I said hey  to the few people who knew me well enough to ignore the stupid rumors.
