Keisha

I sighed as I kept glancing at the clock in the common room. The firs few days were rough. Constantly fighting back the nightmares and the day dreams. The images of demons that aren't there. It was hard. But I kept reading Mo's letters. The first one from a couple weeks ago to reassure myself that there is someone out there rooting for me. And just a few days ago she wrote me another letter saying she was coming to my visitation today. It's hard but I'm working towards getting better so I can get out of here.

"Ms. Wright, you have a visitor," the doctor came up to me. I hopped up excitedly. My excitement dimmed down when they put cuffs on me. They say it's for the safety of my visitors. I was taken back to my room where they handcuffed me to the bed. I sat and waited for what felt like forever.

"Keisha!" I perked up when I saw Monique walking into the room with a big smile just a few minutes later. She was ready to come hug me when an arm reached out and grabbed her back. Zyshonne stepped in the room. My excitement dimmed just a bit. Not that I don't like Zy or I'm not happy to see him, I was just hoping it would be just me and Mo.

"Remember what the doctor said," he looked down at her.

"Right," she rolled her eyes. She walked over with a smile. "Hey Keisha. How are you feeling today? Is it okay for me to ask that?"

She furrowed her brows in confusion. I couldn't help but laugh. "Yes it's okay. There's good days and bad days and luckily today is a good day." She matched my smile and sat down next to the bed. "So tell me everything I missed." She filled me in on literally everything I missed. From Jayden and his white momma all the way to when she told me she quit the other day. "Wow," I raised my brows in shock. "I didn't think you'd ever quit."

"I didn't plan on it either, at least not that soon, but I couldn't take it anymore. I was tired of being treated like shit and getting blamed for it. I know I said I wasn't going to let Jayden and his drama run me off but it's getting bothersome."

"I bet. Sorry about trying to hook you two up. I can see why you wouldn't want to."

"It's okay. We were both blind sided. He seemed nice but really he's psycho. My neighbors can't stop complaining about them. Said they're too gossipy and all about the drama. Mrs. Betty just cursed his momma out the other day."

"No," I laughed. Mrs. Betty was chatty but a sweet wholesome woman. The complete opposite of Mo's grandmother. "Why?"

"Because she kept running off on the mouth. That and apparently when she welcomed Jayden to the neighborhood she dropped the tea on what's been going on and he told his mom. She then started blabbing about what she heard. Neighborhood isn't exactly on her side right now either."

"Wow. That's crazy."

"Yeah. But there's more. Leslie is back."

"Zy's baby momma? When? Why?!" She told me everything that was going on with Zy with him jumping in every once in a while. "Get locked up in the crazy house and miss all the action," I huffed. No laughed making me smile.

"Don't worry. Soon you'll be home with us to go through it together," she giggled.

"Time," the doctor said walking in. Zy and the doctor talked some while me and Mo said goodbyes.

She grabbed my hand when no one was looking and gave it a squeeze. She smiled. "You're going to work through this. I know you'll be home before long. I love you and keep fighting."

If the smile on my face grew any bigger it probably would break my face. "I love you too Mo." She smiled one last time before turning and leaving.
