The Scotts and The Berks have been in battle for years. When Merida becomes queen, she wants to put an end to it once and for all. When the Berks attack, she allows herself get captured so that she can find their weakness by making their chief fall...
Merida fidgeted, she and hiccup had been walking for hours...actually it's just been thirty minutes but it was the longest thirty minutes of her life. Coupled with anxiety and frustration she groaned and stopped walking. Hiccup looked back.
"Something wrong?" "How far are we going ta go....mi legs hurt already"
Hiccup chuckled "Not that far but we have to hurry, she is usually here this time of the day" "Who?" Merida asked cocking an eyebrow. "I think it's another kind of night fury" he whispered and she gasped.
More dragons?! The ones they have are enough trouble for us already! She thought "So why are ye telling me this?"
"I trust you merida" he smiled, she looked away. Ye shouldn't bit that was the whole point of mah plan anyways..stop feeling bad merida she thought again.
They soon stopped at a cave, hiccup and merida cautiously walked in. It was dark so hiccup pulled out his flaming sword to make light, merida held his shoulder as they looked around.
"Ah can't see anything" merida whispered, it made an echo and soon something in the shadow moved...they both gasped, hiccup moved his flaming sword in it's direction to get a better view and soon...there she was, a lady toothless. She was white and had blue cat like eyes.
Merida marveled...she was beautiful, the beast she once despised was now precious in her eyes. Merida unconsciously went closer while the dragon moved back in fear.
"It's okay ah won't hurt ye" she said reassuringly, the dragon then came closer, merida put out her hand. Hiccup just stood there amazed at how she related with it easily.
"That's right...come closer" Merida whispered, it came much closer and closed its eyes as she gently touched its nose then hugged it and smiled. "Wisp" she whispered "Because yer mystical and beautiful" merida closed her eyes and hugged it a little longer.
Hiccup smiled and approached them, he knew he made the right choice bringing her here now she and he had similar species of dragons... Was it fate?
Merida soon let go of the dragon and gasped...what was she doing? She couldn't help herself, she looked at Hiccup's smiling face.
"Merida...she's yours now" "What?" "I mean it, you've already named her and she seems to trust you"
Merida looked at the light fury, it smiled at her and she couldn't help but smile back. "Yeah..she's mine now"

Time skip---
Merida and hiccup laughed.
"Toothless is a real joker" Merida said "Yeah and that's not even the funniest part...after that, my dad had to chase him down barefoot and shirtless...it was so embarrassing"
Merida laughed harder this time but unfortunately snorted, she held her mouth as she awkwardly looked at Hiccup, he laughed.
"It's not funny" she punched him
"You're right.. Its cute" he said and continued laughing, merida turned red and stomped further. "Hey wait up!" "No, ah won't do it" she huffed, he just smiled. "You don't know how funny you look"
Ruffnut saw the two playfully arguing as they walked and she was so confused but smiled, Tuffnut joined her.
"Hey I need you to...why are you smiling it's unusual"
"Look at them....the chief seems so happy" Ruffnut smiled, Tuffnut rolled his eyes.
"Sure... Just come with me please"

"Goodnight Wisp" Merida whispered to the light fury "ah don't think hiccup will be happy ah brought ye back but yer mine now so ah'm gonna keep ye" she smiled then hugged the dragon and slept off thinking about what to do.
A/N: this is like one of my shortest chapters..anyways, I just wanted to add more romance in this chapter because today...I had a new cousin!!😍 my aunt who had been in extreme labour since yesterday gave birth to a boy so....I'm very happy. Please vote and see you all later😋✌
