Queen Merida

Chapter three

Elinor's hangers clinked together simultaneously, Fergus groaned.

"Ye still haven't seen it lass?"
"No Fergus, if I did I would be wearing it" she said angrily and Fergus sighed. He stood up and patted his wife's shoulder.

"I'll tell them you're a bit busy"
Elinor scoffed and Fergus left, she searched her wardrobe endlessly, getting frustrated, she closed the wardrobe doors with a bang and paced around the room angrily.

"Where did I keep that crown?" She asked herself angrily, then she sighed, queens don't lose control. She inhaled and exhaled, she'd have to go out like that, crown or not, everyone already knew she was the queen. She smiled at her decision, checking herself in the mirror once again, she made for the door.

"Don't be late merida" Merida mimicked her mom's last words angrily and huffed, now her mom was the late one and merida told herself that if her mom doesn't arrive any time soon, she would tell her dad to adjourn the meeting. Just then, Elinor walked through the doors, then sat gracefully on her royal chair. Merida eyed her, something was different. Then noticed she wasn't wearing her crown, that was odd but merida just glad to get the meeting started.

"No no no! Yer not aiming well" Merida scolded rapunzel, she took the bow from her and an arrow from her quiver.

"Watch me" merida commanded and rapunzel rolled her eyes, merida took a shooting stance and shot a bullseye at the target meters away from them.

"Ye see what I did, ye take one foot back, aim and shoot"

"It's not that easy you know" rapunzel said folding her hands. Merida rolled her eyes.

"Yes it is"

They spent minutes arguing till jack came running towards them.
"Merida!" He panted, both girls looked at him surprised.

"Jack what's wrong?" Merida asked.
"There is an emergency meeting in the hall, you're needed urgently...oh hey rapunzel"

"Hey" rapunzel replied. Merida frowned, what could be so important.

"Alright let's go" she said and the three ran to the hall.

Merida opened the door and hastily made her way to her chair and looked at her dad.

"What's going on?" She whispered
"The Lords want to attack the berks early but yer mom.." Fergus said and looked at Elinor, Merida sighed.

Elinor stood up "we cannot do what ye are suggesting us to do because mi daughter has not done her coronation and taken over the throne"

"Then let her do it today" Some yelled and everyone agreed, Elinor frowned.

"She can't do it today because its not according to tradition, she has to-"

"Does it matter? What matters is our victory over the berks" the same person yelled and everyone else exclaimed in agreement.

"Listen to me we need-"

"No! Let's attack the Berks" a lord yelled and everyone else started chanting it and raising their fists. Merida frowned deeply in frustration.

"Shut up!" She screamed and everywhere was silent, she glared at the lords "What is wrong with all of ye, yer Queen is talking and ye have the guts to talk back and shut her up with ye useless chanting. Be reasonable, there won't be any attack whatsoever UNTIL I'm done with mi coronation.... Any objections?" She asked and no one answered.

"Good, this meeting is over" she said and stormed out, not looking back or minding what the lords or her mom might say after that.

A royal carriage was seen in the distance.
"Here they come!" Someone announced and soon they all gathered some meters away from the carriage. The rider came down.

"The majesties, the king and Queen of Corona" he said and opened the door then bowed. A man came out and helped the woman down, everyone around them bowed. Stoick went towards them and bowed also.

"Welcome to Berk" he said, the man laughed.

"Oh stop with the formalities Stoick. How are you?" He asked and hugged Stoick, Stoick hugged back.

"I've been good and you?"
"Great, now where is your son...the famous dragon rider?"

Stoick smiled and beckoned on Hiccup to come and he soon joined them, the first thing they both noticed was his prosthetic leg and widened their eyes. Hiccup rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness.

"Its a long story" he explained and they nodded, Stoick led them into the hall which used to be where they battled dragons, there everyone took a seat. The king of corona stood up.

"The kingdom of corona have decided to join Berk in fighting this war....because they....they captured our beloved daughter"

Everyone gasped while Valka comforted The queen, hiccup frowned, he hated the Scotts more now.

"So we will sign this treaty in order to make it official" he said then took a pen from his wife and signed it, the queen signed it also.

Hiccup smiled, he was sure that they had won this war, his handover ceremony was in three days time and they had teamed up with one of the strongest kingdoms, but little did he know that something very unexpected would happen during that war.
