Chapter 36 Part 1
Jacob Black
Renesmee smiled at me softly as i got out of the car.
We were at the airport now, only an hour after we got married to open and other. I was still partially in my tuxedo; shoes and pans still fully intact; shit partially unbuttoned and the tie quite loose.
I pulled open the passenger door to revel an absolutely stunning woman. She was smiling up at me, wearing a small, tight pearl colored dress, and high heeled shoes. Renesmee's hair was still pinned up with all the jewels and flowers intact.
Even with her high shoes on, I was still an entire foot taller then her. Renesmee took the hand I stretched out towards her. I firmly gripped her hand and carefully pulled her out of the car, right into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her up off the ground, pressing our lips together for a brief moment. I sat Renesmee down on her feet; we both had the biggest smiles on our faces. Renesmee and I turned towards the trunk of the car at the same time.
"Oh," a girl gasped, eyeing us happily. "Look at them!" she demanded of her boyfriend, whom obediently looked our way. "They're both beautiful. He's incredibly sexy. She's more than flawless!" she whispered to him, and then looked back at us. "And did you see him open her door and the way he held her? So romantic! What a gentlemen!" I wanted to scowl at her intrusion in our moment, but I couldn't find a big enough reason to be upset, or even pretend. I was more then totally blissed out of my mind. One simple reason I was utterly joyful was this: Renesmee Cullen was no longer she; Renesmee Black was who she was now. And that little detail made me happier than anything else could ever make me.
I opened the lid to the trunk, never letting go of Renesmee's small, soft hand. The valet attendant took the car down and around to the long-term parking lot; not without eyeing Renesmee hungrily, however, to which I made him feel intensely uncomfortable. I wheeled Renesmee and my single combined suitcase easily through the airport, towards the ticket counter, still never letting go of Renesmee's little hand.
"Where to, Mrs. Black?" I inquired as we stood before the great wall of black screens, flight times and destinations. Renesmee's eyes grazed the digital screen no more then a second, though there had to be at least 50 flight options.
"How about you pick a number, one to fifty, and we'll count from the top to that number, and we'll go there." she smiled slyly, happy at her idea. I laughed, and nodded. "It's hardly fair, though, that I should pick. You pick the number, I'll count, and I'll buy." I smiled, and she rolled her eyes. "Eleven."
I counted down to eleven, and ended up at 'Toronto, Ontario, Canada." Renesmee seemed quite pleased with her choice as we stepped up to purchase the tickets. I looked down at the watch on my wrist; a gift from Carlisle and Esme; and noticed it was nearly midnight. The flight we choose left at two in the morning, however.
The rather cheery girl behind the desk smiled at us happily and bounced on he feet. "You two are just too cute. Adorable. I watched you walk in. So sweet of you, never letting go of her hand. Smiling down at her constantly, so protective. Adorable!" she cooed, and we laughed. I kissed Renesmee on her cheek, pulled her ringed finger up, and kissed it. "Newly weds!?" the girl freaked out, "Oh my god! I have to take a picture of you two." she laughed, and we just smiled.
Renesmee asked her to take a picture with the camera Alice had given her, and she did. We had another worker take a picture of us, bought the tickets, and we were on our way to our new life..
Part 2
Renesmee fell asleep on my shoulder shortly after the plane took off, leaving me some time to think. Not that I wanted any free time to think - I was horribly nervous. It was our honeymoon. Honeymoon. I didn't want to think about what people didon their honeymoons. I was too scared that she wouldn't want to; that I would hurt her; that I wouldn't want to do it at all. I thought about after - and I thought about how she might not look at me the same, or how I wouldn't feel the same. I knew I'd always love her more than anyone - anything - else, but I was just so unsure.
I hatedbeing unsure. And I couldn't even ask Alice about after, because it'd be superembarrassing, and because she can't see either of us. I kissed Renesmee's cheek, running my fingers through her hair. I was shaking. Not in the pre-phase way, but in the nervous, 'oh my God, what am I going to do' way. It was scary, and honestly, I was almost having a panic attack.
The flightattendantstopped at our seats, smiled down at a sleeping Renesmee, and looked at me, a concerned look on her face.
"Are you okay?" she said in a casual tone, not bothering to be formal. I shook my head 'no' and she sat down on the seat beside me; the isle seat.
"Can I get you anything?" she asked, honestly concerned and wanting to help. I just shook my head, looking at Renesmee. She was so peaceful. I was too anxious to even think about sleeping.
"I'd like to hear your voice, you know." the girl said softly. I sighed, and looked down at Renesmee. She was out cold; literally. "Okay," I answered the girl, and she smiled a bit. I found no comfort and speaking to her, but I assumed I would anyway. It's be nice, after an hour or so of being silent, talking to someone wouldn't be too horrible.
"What's you name?" the girl smiled at me, trying not to bore me. She glanced down the isle and back at me, the same small smile on her face. "Jacob." I answered not so friendly, but I couldn't help it. I was so anxious. "It's nice to meet you, Jacob. My name's Hilary." I nodded, gave a tiny smile. Barely visible.
I ran my fingers through Renesmee's hair constantly, making small and pointless chit-chat with the unknown girl beside me. She asked about my family, and I told her a little bit, sparing the details. It was odd, but I could feel the heat radiating from her body - something so rare. that only happened around the pack. Nobody else was warm to me, really. The Cullen's were beyond freezing, and Renesmee was almost the same temperature to me, so it didn't do much to my thought.
"You're seem so warm." the girl said, as I was thinking. I shivvered. "You seem warm too." I added, and she smiled. "I'm a werewolf." was all she said before she got up. I gaped, open-mouthed at her claim. "Impossible." I laughed as she stood in the isle. She shook her head, lifted her sleeve and revealed a tattoo so much similar to mine. I smelt the air around me for the first time, really smelling it, and I found that she was serious. "Okay, possible." I said, and shook my head. "But how?" I wondered, accidentally out loud. She waltzed down the isle to a passenger that had woken up. I looked towards the window - where there was a little button that said 'push for assistance' and I pushed it.
The flight attendedt walked slowly towards my row, rolled her eyes, and paused.
"How may I help you, sir?" she said foramlly, as if nothing was said. "Coke, please." I said quietly, not sure what else to say.
She walked off to get my srink, and then came back. She handed it to me and walked to the back of the plane. Moments later she was at the front again, and a loud speaker came over the system.
"All passengers, please secure all loose items and buckle the seat belts, we'll be landing in moments."
I kissed Renesmee's forehead, then her hair, and then her lips. Her eyes fluttered open, as I was hoping they would, and she smiled at me. "Hello," her voice was low, barely audible. "Hi there." I replied with a smile on my face, big and happy. She sat up and undid her seatbelt. I went to say something about her undoing the belt, seeing as we were told not to, but she snuggled into me and I couldn't protest. I loved holding her.
The plan landed in this distant Canadian town; we got off the plane, and found a hotel for the night. We didn't bother to even try to talk; we held hands in the cab, slept in the bed, and awoke in the late afternoon.
