"Wait, you two KNOW each other already?!" Lance sputtered. "Aw, man! How did KEITH land a girl like you?"
"It wasn't like that, pinbrain," Keith snapped, a small tinge of red forming on his cheeks. "We were friends back on Earth."
"You? Made friends? With hot tramps like her? Yeah, right!" Lance snorted bitterly, getting up in Keith's face. "What do you take me for, an idiot?!"
"...Yeah. You caught me red-handed," Keith replied indifferently.
"Ah-HAH! I knew i--Hey, wait a minute!"
Nifa couldn't help but let a snort of laughter escape her. She had missed Keith's snide comments and sharp tongue. They had made quite the team back in grade school.
"Anyways..." Keith went on, turning back to Nifa, his expression softening a little. "It's good to see you again. You're so...um...taller."
"Well, DUH!" she said matter-of-factly. "It's been six years. You're taller too, ya goof."
"Yeah, way too tall to be shoved in someone else's passenger seat and DRIVEN AWAY,"
"Hey, c'mon! That was a team effort! Besides we got out of math class that way, didn't we?"
"We'll have to save the trip down Memory Lane for later," Shiro said, looking over the monitor of many planets displayed in the map. "You know we don't have much time. Pidge and I will go after the Green Lion. Lance, you take Hunk and get the yellow one. Nifa, you should go with Lance and Hunk. Something tells me they'll need more help than us in finding the lion."
"Hey! I take offense to that!" Hunk sniffed offendedly.
"Keith, you stay here. If you locate that Red Lion, go get it," Shiro said, ignoring Hunk.
"In the meantime, I'll get this Castle's defenses ready. They'll be sorely needed," Princess Allura said.
"I'll ready a pod and load in the coordinates so that you can reach the Green Lion," Coran chimed in, already heading off to the deck.
"And so it begins..." Nifa thought to herself, following Lance and Hunk out of the bridge.

Nifa was floating through a tunnel, on a boat going down a peaceful river. A sloth-looking alien, probably the gondolier of the boat, rowed wordlessly down the stream with a peaceful stature. Nifa wasn't sure who, but she was aware that there were two people behind her.
The canoe gently bumped to a stop on the shore of a root-covered stone temple. There were carvings of a lion on the stones that lined the temple. A short figure stepped up to them, and they immediately began to glow green.
Recognizing the similar scenario from her Blue Lion dream on Earth, Nifa knew what to do. "Green Lion, if you're down there, let this young man claim you as your paladin. He is inquisitive and has a personality of intellect and daring. You will need him in order to form Voltron again." Nifa left out the part that she barely knew this person, as she thought it would wave the lion's judgement.
However, the lion seemed to buy it, for when the short figure jumped down into the temple, the roots soon erupted, and the Green Lion stood in their place.
"Hey! Keith-girl! Wake up!"
Nifa blinked awake. She was no longer in front of the temple, but inside the Blue Lion with Lance and Hunk. "What'd you say?"
"Sooooo...you and Keith..." Lance said inquisitively to Nifa as he steered the Blue Lion down onto a new planet's surface. "You're actual friends, right?"
