Nifa sat in her room, listening to the Arusians chatter outside. The princess had invited them all to the castle for a day of celebration, after Voltron had defeated a Galran gladiator that had attacked their village. However, Nifa, being her introverted and reserved self, decided to stay out of the party, to avoid any social contact.
It wasn't that she didn't trust the Arusians. As a matter of fact, they seemed quite harmless. The real reason why she didn't want to go out was because she didn't want to meet anyone. After all, she had spent so much time alone, she had gotten used to it. She wasn't sure how to approach it again.
"Young spirit guide..." the Black Lion interrupted her sulking. "Why are you not out in the ballroom with the other paladins? You have won a great victory."
"I just...don't feel like it," Nifa replied. "I'm not really a party animal."
"Neither am I," the Red Lion interjected. "But you did your part when it came to forming Voltron. You deserve to have a little fun with the rest of your comrades."
"Yeah, I wish *I* could," the Blue Lion agreed. "But I don't think a giant dancing robot lion would sit well with the Arusians. May as well go out there, since you have the privilege."
Nifa was silent for a moment, then she stood up. "Alright. I'll check it out, but that's all. Don't expect me to be in the center of an in-crowd or anything."
She received no reply from the lions. Flaring her nostrils quietly to herself, she picked up a brush and began to brush her straggled hair. If she was going to go out there, she may as well look at least a LITTLE presentable.
As she was struggling to comb it, a tiny Arusian girl stuck her head through her bedroom door, tilting her head and watching with interest. Nifa noticed her and froze up, unsure of what to say.
"Uh...hey there...little guy..." she said awkwardly. The alien child said nothing, but stared intently at Nifa's brush. "Oh, this? Um...it's a thing we Earthlings use to fix our...cranial fibers?"
Nifa facepalmed. She could NOT believe she had actually said that. Did the Arusian even understand what she was saying?
However, the girl didn't look confused. Instead, she giggled and held up a bunch of beautiful flowers, each blossom looking unlike any flower Nifa had ever seen. "Would you like some help, Miss Human?"

Meanwhile, in the ballroom, Allura had just gifted the Arusian king with a communication device to contact Voltron. The Arusians cheered as Lance, Keith, and Hunk looked on.
"We ought to get something like that," Hunk proposed to Lance.
"Like what?"
"You know, like, a cheer. Like, a team cheer that we do."
Lance tapped a finger to his chin, appearing to think it over. He then nodded to himself and agreed. "Yeah, okay. How about, uh... I say 'Vol' and you say 'Tron.' Vol—!"
He eagerly awaited Keith's response. Keith's brow curled in confusion before responding with: "Uh... Vol-tron?"
Lnace shook his head. "No! No, no, no, no, no. The cheer includes the instructions. I say 'Vol' and you say..."
Keith still didn't understand the cue. "...Vol-tron?"
"NO, Stupid! Hunk, show him how it's done! I say 'Vol' and you say 'Tron.' Vol—!"
"Tr--whoooooooooooa..." Hunk gaped mid-cheer.
"Oh, come on! Not you too!" Lance complained.
"No, no, look at Nifa, guys! Up there! On the staircase!"
