"There's not much time before they get the ship running again," Allura informed Pidge and Nifa through his suit's comm link. "You must shut off the particle barrier so we can get in."

"You got it. Tell us what to do," Pidge replied.

"The particle barrier generator is beneath the main hull,"

"Copy that. We're on our way."

The two ran down the halls until they came to a room filled with electrical lightning bolts. Nifa noticed that Pidge looked extremely nervous all of a sudden. "Hey, what's bitten you?"

"This technology is so advanced, I don't know if I can figure it out," Pidge said, sounding fretful.

"Yes, you can," assured Allura. "The lives of your fellow paladins are at stake. You can't give up."

"She's right, Pidge," Nifa agreed. "You're the only one capable of slowing those two brutes down."

Pidge didn't respond. He seemed to be lost in thought. Nifa tapped his shoulder to get his attention. "Pidge? Hey!"

Pidge snapped out of it and shook his head. "Sorry, sorry. Talk me through it, Allura."

"Shutting down the barrier from this room can be dangerous," Allura explained. "Remember, the barrier is also a weapon. So, stay away from the energy arcs."

"Keep away from the lightning bolts," Nifa repeated. "Sounds easy enough."

However, whatever Nifa said, she jinxed their luck. Suddenly, the triangular robot floating beside Pidge started beeping rapidly. Before she knew what was happening, a drone patrol saw them down the hall and began shooting at them! Nifa quickly scrambled behind a pillar and hid as the drones repeatedly fired.

"*Ungh!* This is insane!" What do we do?!" Nifa sputtered.

"Um...I have good news!" Pidge replied. "There's an escape to this room!"

"Yes!"

"But there's also bad news...it's two floors up, and according to my calculations, there's only going to be time for one of us to get up there without getting shot,"

"Aw, quiznak!"

Nifa thought fast. However, one look to the patrol and back at Pidge, and she knew what had to be done, despite the risks. "Pidge, I'll head out there and distract them. You head up there and try to get to the generator."

"Wh--I can't leave you here!" Pidge protested. "If they find out you're with us, they-"

"It doesn't matter! You're the only one with the smarts to slow the ship launch down! It HAS to be you!"

"Nifa-"

"I know the risks. But we're out of options. Once I run out there, get to the vent and don't wait up for me. Okay?"

"...Alright. But take my hologram pip-buck with you. It'll give you some cover. Don't get caught,"

"No promises, but I'll try not to."

Nifa turned her attention back to the hall. Pidge tapped a few buttons on his armor's sleeve and tossed the pip-buck to Nifa right after. A holographic Pidge ran across the hallway, drawing the drone's fire. This gave Nifa enough time to rush into the open and kick one of the distracted drones in the face, nabbing its gun. She raced outside into the hallway, one of the drones following her. The other stayed and guarded the vent, which Pidge had successfully escaped through.

Nifa ran to the training deck, the drone right on her tail. She tried to return fire, but her shots were way off. The drone just kept right on coming. Trying not to panic, she looked around to see if there was any way to get the drone out of commission. Her eyes then spotted a button at the end of the room. The invisible maze! The paladins used it in one of Coran's team bonding exercises. Maybe it could help her out now!
