"Bring them back to me," I paused and looked into the eyes of the peasants in front of me I bore a cold glare "so I can kill them myself." After all if you want something done right, you got to do it yourself. No use in trusting low lives with such a great task that they can so easily fail.

You shouldn't have gotten in my way "Kichi"...

<[Shuichi POV]>

We made it to the shop, although Kichi and I were told to wait outside with Alter. It wasn't so bad, we would play games with Alter to entertain him (even though it seemed like Kichi enjoyed the childish games just as much, possibly even more than Alter did).

"Hey hey! Shuichi, look at me!" Alter called from on top of a rock "I'm the king of the world!" He declared putting his hands on his hips and puffing out his cheeks with a smile.

"Aha, yeah just uh, just be careful ok?" I say seeing how high up the rock was.

"Geez calm down, the kids just having some fun." Kichi said sitting a little bit below Alter. "Isn't that right kid?" he said climbing up and sitting behind Alter.

"Yeah-!" Alter said before he fell off of the rock.

"Alter!!" I panicked and quickly went to catch him, just barely making it. "Kichi what the hell?!" I say looking up at him. His expression showed confusion.

"Me? Why do you think I did something?" He asked jumping down and crossing his arms.

"You were right behind him!" I said, panicking and looking for injures.

"So? That doesn't mean anything, he still could have slipped." Kichi said leaning on the rock seemingly annoyed.

Before I could say anything Alter started jumping bringing my attention to him "Look, look! I'm fine!" He said with a wide smile.

"See he's tough, your just paranoid." Kichi said sticking his tongue out causing me to scoff. I sigh, leaning on the rock they were climbing on. Not trusting them enough to sit down.

Kichi rolled his eyes and walked in front of me, giving me a strange look.

"What Kichi" I say, in a slightly more harsh tone than I meant to have.

"Wow don't need to be so mean now, you just need to lighten up a little." he said with a grin as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from the rock.

"W,,wait Kichi!!" I exclaimed, trying to slow us down, but to no avail. I could hear Alter laughing up a storm.

"Yeah Kichi!! Lighten him up!" Alter said in between giggles. I had never felt more betrayed by a kid in my entire life.

"Kichi where are we even-" before I could even finish I felt a sudden pull down and before I knew it water was surrounding me. "K-Kichi!!" I yell once I finally got up to breathe. "Why would-" I cut myself off as Kichi swims up to the surface laughing.

"Man Shu, I can't believe you would just fall into the water like that." he said giggling as he looked up at me.

I opened my mouth to refute what he was saying but I found myself laughing instead. Kichi almost seemed surprised by my sudden laughter, but quickly covered it with a smile.

"Whoa. Shuichi, having fun? Is that even possible??" He said putting the hands on the sides of his face in emphasis of his quote on quote 'shock'.

"Oh shut up! I can have fun too you know!" I said quieting my laughter.

Kichi shook his head "Nope! Not possible. Not the Shuichi I know, he's always too worried to have fun." he said followed by a gasp "Who are you and where's Shuichi?!" He said pointing at me.

I laughed and rolled my eyes "Whatever Kichi." I say as I slowly make my way to get out of the water. Right as I was about to get out Kichi grabbed me and pulled me back in. "Ack! Kichi!!" I exclaimed pushing him away once we were both back to the surface, I was trying to be mad but I just couldn't make myself upset.

"What are you guys doing in the water?" I could hear hajime's voice question. I turned around to see him glaring at me slightly.

"Oh I'm sorry!" I quickly apologized.

"Calm down we were just going for a swim." Kichi sighed as he helped both of us out of the water.

"Yeah but now you're soaking and we still have to deal with you." Hajime said clearly annoyed.

"Calm down Hinata." Nagito said stepping in the way of him with his hands in front of himself. "They were just messing around, we did tell them to say with Alter didn't we?" He said with a hopeful smile.

Hajime paused for a while, he peered over nagito's shoulder. He sighed in defeat "Fine yeah, whatever." he said as he walked back over to Chiaki who smiled and ruffled his hair, earning a small smile in return.

Nagito turned to me with a smile "Hehe, sorry about that guys, guess he's still kind of upset about more people traveling with us." He said with a sheepish laugh.

"Well, I mean we don't need to keep traveling with you guys if it's a bother." I say earning a confused look from Kichi.

"No, no! You guys are completely fine, Hajime can just be kinda stubborn." he smiled looking over at the boy in mention. "But anyways let's get moving!" He said breaking his trance.

We walked for a long time, or maybe it wasn't that long. Alter ended up getting a piggyback ride from Hajime, and naturally Kichi wanted one as well. So I found myself carrying him once again.

"Hey, Hajime I think we should set up camp for the night." Nagito said once we reached a clearing that seemed to be made for setting up camp.

"I don't see the problem with some night walking." Hajime said "What do you say Alter?" He said shaking the boy, making him laugh.

"Yeah! Let's keep going!" Alter said with a yawn at the end.

"I don't know Hajime, I'm starting to get kind of tired, and by the looks of it so is Alter." Chiaki spoke softly yawning herself.

"I am not!" Alter protested.
