Set up camp?
>Yes< No

"I think we should rest," I suggested quietly. Hajime glared at me slightly causing me to back off.

"Calm down, people are just getting tired, and we don't want to pass out in the middle of walking." Kichi blocked Hajime's way by standing in front of me. Hajime looked around seeing the tired group and sighed.

"Fine." is all he said walking over to start setting up camp.

"This place is kinda... prepared don't you think?" Nagito muttered to himself, glaring at the spot as he looked around. Hajime looked up and tilted his head slightly, confusion written on his face. "Oh haha, nothing I was just thinking..." Nagito quickly changed expressions earning a nod from Hajime as he went back to work.

"You have a point you know," Kichi said, going over, I follow suit. "Maybe it's someone else's, or just for travelers?" he shrugged.

"Yeah, you're probably right Kichi." Nagito smiled sheepishly with a small nervous chuckle. "I'm probably just worrying too much, makes sense for trash like me." He smiled at the floor.

"What did we say about talking like that?" Kichi responded, hitting his head. "You're my subordinate, you need to have confidence, what would Maki think?" He scolded.

"Right...Maki," Nagito sighed "Well, I'm nowhere near as full of hope as the others, but I'll keep quiet." He concluded walking over to help Hajime.

"Who's Maki?" I ask, hoping it's not personal with how Nagito reacted to the name. Kichi turned his attention to me, seemingly confused.

"You don't,,"He stopped himself with a sigh. I don't what? Should I have not asked? "I would've thought you would have recognized the name..." Kichi added tapping his chin.

"Why would I know it?" I asked severely confused, It doesn't seem familiar. Kichi blankly stared at me for a few seconds. He then snapped his fingers.

"Oh you probably know her stage name!" Kichi laughed, shaking his head as if it was obvious. "She's more infamously known as 'Scarlet Slinger'." He exaggerated the name, as if it was no big deal. Now I recognize it.

"You know the Scarlet Slinger??" Many stories are told about them. A crazy range of tales, no one quite knows the truth. But one thing is for sure,

They're definitely not liked in my kingdom.

"Yeah, she's another subordinate of mine." He said putting his hands behind his head "Heard she's kinda unliked in your kingdom." I nodded. That's one hell of an understatement.

The Scarlet Slinger, known for many things, many terrible things. All that can be seen after the crime is them running off with their red coat and eyes of death itself..

"You're in charge of them?" I ask, he wouldn't make them do all those things i've heard the Scarlet Slinger is to blame for, would he? Kichi looked at me and nodded slowly.

"Yeah,,? What? You don't think I could lead?" He said jokingly. I gave back a nervous laugh. "In fact, I got a huuuuuge organization with over ten thousand members!!" He exclaimed clearly proud. Now that's gotta be a lie.

"Alright Kichi." I said with a more or less fake smile and a nod. This reaction seemed to upset him. He muttered something and went over to Nagito and Hajime.

Kichi... he was in charge of the infamous Scarlet Slinger. Why can't I believe that? Sure I knew some of the rumors were just that, rumors, but how could I be so sure? And Kichi just seemed casual about it, surely he knew of their bad reputation... maybe with his help we could finally arrest the Scarlet Slinger? Granted I would have to use Kichi for that to work... I couldn't do that, could I? I mean Scarlet Slingers supposed crimes vary wildly.

Rumors of missing pigs and sheep can be blamed on just about any crook in town. Although blaming it all on a single crook will surely give a good scare. Especially when you start throwing missing kids into those rumors. If Kichi was aware of their reputation, why bring it up so casually? Is he trying to get them arrested? I don't understand Kichi, he'll act like i'm his closest friend one second then his worst enemy the next. He tells me memories as if I was ever there and gets disappointed when I don't remember.

"Deep in thought?" I hear Chiaki's voice next to me. I look over to see her looking at me with a smile.

"Oh uh...yeah," I say with a nervous laugh.

"It can be a lot right? Your first time away from home and on an adventure?" I don't recall telling her that.

"Why do you think it's my first time?" I was curious about how she knew.

"You just got that look in your eye. A mix of fear and excitement. Well that and how you cling on to that elf." She said with a laugh. It was a pretty laugh one that could make you feel at ease.

"I wouldn't say I cling to Kichi..." I muttered, extremely embarrassed. Chiaki just smiled and patted my back.

"Don't worry about it. He doesn't seem to mind. Now let's go help everyone else alright?" she asked, to which I nodded.

After we finished setting up we had to split the three tents they normally use. Chiaki and Alter used her tent, Nagito and Hajime used Hajime's, and Nagito let me and Kichi use his.

"So how are you feeling Princey?"  Kichi asks as he sets up his sleeping area. I look up in confusion. Kichi hadn't really asked me that a lot, but maybe i'm just overthinking small talk.

"Fine I guess, everything still doesn't feel real," I admit laying down. "like sure it's been pretty fun but it's crazy and all going so quickly." I laugh.

"Yeah, it sure can be." Kichi said with a smile before laying down himself.

"What was your first adventure like?" I ask turning on my side to face him. Kichi looked over a semi surprised expression on his face.

"It's not super interesting but if you really wanna know..." Kichi said looking at the top of the tent holding his chin in thought. "Alright i'll tell you!" he declared. "I was just a kid and got lost from my family. I wasn't crying but some kid thought I was and started to talk to me. They said they would help me find my family again. But first they took me back to meet some other kids. Most of them were orphans, some with different aspects people would attack and insult them for. I witnessed it first hand..." he paused.

"It took us days to find my family, the only one who was really worried turned out to be my sister. But the trip to find them in the first place was insane. I wasn't old enough to know where I lived by name so that didn't help." He said letting out a genuine laugh, it was nice to hear him laugh. I sometimes wondered how much of him was honest, but I could tell this was. I heard him talk more but I could barely stay awake. "And so- y'know I think well save more of the story for tomorrow night okay?" I tried to disagree since he seemed to enjoy talking about it but I couldn't really make the 'no' audible causing Kichi to giggle. "Good night princey." that was the last words said before I drifted off to sleep.

"-ease" I heard a voice outside the tent. I don't know how long it's been since I fell asleep but Kichi was passed out now. "Shuichi Can we talk? It's Hajime... Please?"

>Go out and talk<

>Pretend to be asleep<
