(Warning: there's some violence and a Lil' blood)

The arena creaked upwards, the central
sections of rock moving upwards as machinery groaned under its weight. I was frozen from fear as the platform was bought to a stop and a few stone slabs were adjusted. The pit from where the stones had risen glowed a menacing red, foretelling the blood about to be spilt. I just hoped it wasn't going to be mine.

As soon as the platform slowed, Draal leapt towards me with a savage growl, I dove to the side but Draal caught me while I was off-balance, causing me to fall back onto a lower platform. I have to get to the ground, I thought as I tried to get air back into my lungs. Draal jumped at me again but this time I leapt off the platform to the ground. He followed me, compressing himself into a ball before he hit the ground. As he landed, he rolled towards me, a blur of jagged rock. I just managed to get out the way. He sped past me, but before I could take a breath, he came back around and this time I wasn't quick enough. His jagged back scraped across my exposed face, leaving a shallow but long red gash across my face. He continued past me, gaining momentum as he rolled around the arena.

"Think, think!" I murmured angrily to myself as he got closer.

I remembered what Jim had said, Draal must have a weak point but what? I mentally counted the most likely ones, the eyes, the stomach and (of course) the Gronk-nucks. Unfortunately for me, all those were protected while he was rolling. He became close enough to me and jumped out of his roll, soaring through the air towards me. I aimed my sword for his chest, but just as he was about to slam his fist down on my, I ducked under his legs, slicing at his ankles. My sword clanged harmlessly off his legs, but at least I wasn't in his direct line of fire. He stood up, looking around in confusion. I stifle a gasp, I wasn't just not in his line of fire, I wasn't in his line of sight. I slowly crept around him
while trying to stay hidden. Draal growled angrily and spun around. As he turned, I stabbed my sword into his right eye and jumped back as he swung his fist at me in blind anger. I jumped over it but as I landed back on my feet, his other hand swept my feet out from
under me. I fell to the ground, my armour clanging against the rocks. I tried to scramble away again but Draal grabbed me by the leg and dangled me in front of his face. I caught a glimpse of his right eye which was grey and unseeing like the life had been leeched from it. He gave me a satisfied grin before flinging me across the arena.

A pained cough was forced out of my mouth as I slammed into the ground. My armour leaked green mist, it's magic protecting me from getting broken ribs. Draal rolled across the arena towards me. I clambered to my feet, my sword pointed at Draal in an unspoken challenge. It was now or never. I turned around and sprinted as fast as I could towards the lava-filled abyss that bubbled menacingly at the edge of the arena until I was standing right in front of it. I made sure to stay on Draal's right side as he reached me. He sprang from his ball, reaching out to crush me with his hands but his bad eye caused an imbalance in his jump and he landed hard on his right side as I jumped away. I dove behind him and held out my sword, ready to send him tumbling to a scalding death, but I hesitated, could I really take someone else's life to spare my own?. The hesitation was all it took and Draal used my indecision to turn around, grab my waist and send me flying off the edge.

The wind whistled in my ears as I fell, ripping my hair away from my face and tearing at my skin. I squeezed my eyes shut.

"No,no, no" I muttered angrily to myself " how could I let this hap-!"

Suddenly the wind stopped.I peep open an eye, was this the underworld? Was I dead? I looked down and saw the lava hissing angrily at me and the rocks lit up by the lava's glow but no ground. I froze and looked down again to double-check if there was no mistaking it I was floating in midair. A grin lit up my face, I had a chance to win! Now, I just had to get out. I scrunched up my face in concentration up I thought, forcing as much conviction into it as I could. I soared upwards until I was hovering above the ravine, right behind Draal who was roaring in triumph as the crowd cheered his name. My heart sang in relief when I saw Jim's face light up with hope as he spotted me. He wasn't the only one that saw me though, the crowd became silent in shock as they saw me floating in midair behind Draal. I leaned towards Draals ear,

"Peekaboo" I whispered.

Draal shouted something in trollspeak and jumped backwards in disbelief and shock. I used his surprise to my advantage, tripping him up on his blind side as he jumped forwards and using my elevation from the air to push him to the edge of the ravine with my sword. My resolve hardened, I would show him as much mercy as he had shown me: none. I raised my sword. Suddenly, someone grabbed my arm from below.

"(Y/N) no!" I looked down to see Jim looking up at me with desperation in his eyes "you don't want to do this."

My expression softened as I came to my senses. I slowly floated to the ground, exhaustion magnifying the pain from the stinging cut across my face and aching limbs.

"I'm sorr-" I cut off as my libs buckled and I almost fell to the ground. Jim held me around the waist, steadying me with warm hands. My eyes fluttered closed and everything slowly fades to soft black.

"I'm sorry" I mumble as unconsciousness engulfs me.

*~~*~~*~~*

I did a quick sketch/drawing of what I imagine (Y/N)'s armour to look like so here it is :P. Just pretend she has the same hair/eyes ect as your character.
